I am trying to do the Act of Mercy quest. I need to complete it before going
into the Deep Roads.
I chose to side with the blood mages and kill the templars,
including Thrask. I emerged from the cave, saw the templar confrontation, killed
all of them, and now Thrask is no where to be found. Grace and one of the other
mages are standing outside the cave, and she just says I have to hurry before
the Templars come. My journal says I still need to kill Thrask. I have thoroughly searched the area, including inside the
cave and found no one. I have also thoroughly searched the Gallows. Anyone know how to fix this? I'm stuck, and don't want to start over.

Same thing happened to me, i did all the quests...but i can't going into the Deep Roads, so .. i'm stuck like you; i don't want start  the game again.. , so i really hope bioware will fix this annoying bug

Check Hightown. Thrask is usually standing in front of the large set of stairs.

Also, I finished the entire Act of Mercy questline, including "Errant Letter", yet my quest log still shows Act of Mercy in my rumors tab. I sided with the mages, but did not have to kill Thrask.

I'm having the exact same problem. The 2 mages (Grace and the mage who you met half way through the cave) are standing outside of the cave and Thrask is no where to be seen, cant continue on with the game until I talk to him.


Edit: On more searching Grace is outside the cave and inside the cave (her original spot) at the same time.

Yes, she is in both spots for me as well. Crazy mages.

You need to make sure you do not kill Thrask while fighting Templars. I had the same problem so I reloaded save and made sure I kept Thrask alive.

Hmmm...I completed it by not starting a fight or did I join the templars? I don't remember.
I just I got past that quest and finish the deep road quest too.

Thrask improperly wasn't set to be immortal and as such if you let him die the quest breaks down. Right now the only thing you can do is load back before the fight and make sure he doesnt die.

He's dead either way, so what's the difference between me killing him and the other templars killing him? Lame.

i have a glitch with it, on both my characters, though it's different than your guys'

mine is just stuck in the rumors tab after i completed it. from act 1 - act 3, it never goes away until you beat the game.

Not a big deal, just super annoying

Yikes, are you able to just convince him the Apostates are dead?
