I'm in Act 1, playing on the PC. I beat the quest *spoilers* where you had to find out what happened to that dude's wife. Then I got updates on some of my rumors and a few more quests. However, it occurred to me that I should give the dude his wife's ring before completing the quest in the gallows. As a result, I reloaded, did that, and then completed the quest. However, my rumors didn't progress this time, and I didn't get any new quests.
I figured there must be a random or time element, so I just went on and beat most of the other remaining quests. The only problem.. is that the rumors still haven't progressed. What should I do? I can still return the amulet for Flemeth, but I figured I'd post here before doing too much more. I'd rather not replay like 2 hours..
