I didn't care much about Hawke. He/She wasn't really a hero, but more of an opportunist who just had decisions and opportunities thrown upon his/her lap. Hawke's "rise to power" has been punctuated by moments of sheer luck and little else.

What we need, is for our Warden to come back as the primary protagonist. I don't care if BioWare elects to bring back voice acting or not with this Warden. I don't care if all of our savegames are retconned. The Warden is a far more compelling person than Hawke - yeah, yeah, Hawke started a mage rebellion, but the Warden freaking saved Thedas from the march of the darkspawn.

They also should bring back the old style of narrative - namely, saving the world from a grave threat. I think the qunari would be play an excellent role in being that enemy.

It will be a controversial move, but Dragon Age 2 felt more like a spinoff game than an actual sequel.

I'd really love to see my Warden again.
But I think I'd like a different character in DA3, not that I would complain if the Warden returns.

Warden didn't have a pimp robe.

I suspect both will be coming back. I hope I can get MY warden, not a forced choice that is voiced. Hawke felt as if he was just in the right place at the right time.

I agree with you regarding Warden, but I would prefer the main character not be voiced, but would have a variety of possible responses that are in depth, not 5 words.

I want to see a new story with a new character altogether.

Be it some merchant in Antiva getting a message from the maker, or some chevalier in-training throwing down. I just want something new.

I enjoyed the story of the Warden, but I'd like to see more of what the world has to offer.

I wouldn't mind if my Warden gets voiced. I mostly played a female Warden throughout my playthroughs, so if BioWare can bring a nice, posh, British voice, in the style of female Hawke's voice, I wouldn't mind.

Voice acting is very tricky, but for the sake of presentation, I think it's important element to have.

The Warden's story is over. New lead in DA3.

I couldn't agree more. One of the biggest obstacles I'm having with this game is the simple fact that I'm not particularly interested in what happens to Hawke. He's just some dude that sat on the sidelines and happened to do a few things over a decade - it's not really material that works for a sequel.

I think one of the major things the prequel had in it's favour was that you were introduced to your character as he/she was before *anything* happened to them. Before you'd even got mixed up with the end-of-the-world menace you'd already got to grips with who he was, what his motivations were and how he preferred to fight. In DA2 I began losing family members before I even knew who they were, so I didn't care what happened to them. It just isn't a particularly well-told story.

I'd definitely like to see the Warden back. My Warden went from being some lily-livered mage apprentice and ended his saga as the biggest badass in the world, and I was controlling him every step of the way. Currently in DA2 I'm wandering around the same damn generic city for the nth time and losing interest in what's going on.

The Warden is dead please get over it. You can't write a game around a 50% survival rate.

Seeing how the elves are treated like crap an elf would have been a much more interesting character in DA2 than a human.

NO ! I don't want to play a warden again ! I want something new and something original ! With everything I saw in DA2, I'm pretty sure the next Dragon Age Game setting will be The Tevinter Imperium. I'd like to play something new and foreign from this part of the world.

The Warden was great for Origins.
Hawke was perfect for DA2.
A new character will fit in DA3/whatever the name !

Some retconning is in order, then. Alistair or Loghain died, or Morrigan's ritual was carried out. Your Warden didn't die.

No, only PC elitists read stupid dialogue. I want my hero voiced like Shepard. I cannot feel the emotion when I talk if I dont hear anything. Hawke stays.

I agree, the Warden should be voiced in a future sequel. But then again, the lack of voice acting had its upsides as well. I'll leave that up to BioWare.

because people love it when your biggest choice of a game is completely disregarded

Most of the decisions we made in Origins have no affect on DA2, they can write whatever they want into the game, and if there is a DA3, I get the impression Morrigan might be back so I could see a Warden involvement, likely it wont matter, I have no faith in the series anymore.

I don`t want to start with a level 30 character in DA3, so NO. Warden should remain in the past.
