For Dragon Age 3, we need our Warden back.

It could be nice, though, to have some reference of him/her in DA3

I think the Warden's story or influence is not yet done by any means, but I don't think they'll be playable again. There is a lot more to come I think, and Hawke and Warden are going to be involved somehow.

I would know more about the architect. What is he doing? Can the plague be stopped? What happend to Fiona in Weishaupt? Will she ever hear the Calling? Can the curse be stopped?
Is there a new blight?
Furthermore you are the hero of Ferelden. You can do missionary work, if there is a new war with orlais.
I hope that you will have origins again, maybe with you lovers from the first game, before the game is really starting (one day as queen for example)
Look at the Star Wars Universe: Jedi and Stih are still elements of the story and it is not boring. Why should DarkSpawn and the Grey Wardens be?
DarkSpawn is still in DA2, if that is the point.
In Mass Effect and The Withcer you play the hero again and again, and nobody crys about it. Are this guys starting at level 30? There are solutions for this problem, i think.
And if Morrigan is in DA3, my warden has to be, too. It is his child! I really hope so...
Sorry for my bad english!

However, for DA3, it would be interesting if we get a whole new character and Hawke turns into the main baddies..

I hope it is not a new hero every game. That would get old. I don't know why some of you want a new hero every time. Why do you play games that continue a hero's story? Don't you think it would get old to play a new hero somewhere in Thedas every game?
I feel that if you play a new hero every game, that hero does not mean anything. If the Warden and Hawke does not come back, then they are just tour guides of that area of Thedas.
It seems like the Wardens companions have bigger roles than the Warden.

The warden has saved the World from 3 seperate threats, its time to let him go. Personally I think the next DA game should be based near the end of the Dragon Age and all your choices that you made in DAO (and maybe DA2) will sculpt the world. For instance there could be peace between the Dalish and humans, Deneram could have prospered under the rule of Alisters line and be a huge bustling city with statues of the Grey Wardens. The Cirlce could be without templar rule (based on your origin) and trade between humans and dwarves could be booming (once again Depending on your choices). OR Do to the rule loghain being king the kingdom fell apart and is largely a ghetto, the forests are teeming with werewolves and there has been no word from Orzimar. And worst of all rumor has it the Tower of Magi is ruled by blood mages.
It could be a time of strife, there is war with Orlais, the Qunari have finally invaded (as Sten fortold), or the Dragons were never really close to extenction, they were just in the deep roads, waiting, multiplying. And you are the Newest Warden, or perhaps a soldier, or better yet, a nobody: Yet now you are forced to either unite the world and save ferelden (traveling all across thedas getting to see Orlais and the anderfells) or do command order and become the new dictator.
With that, the land is still famililar but now there are so many new things to explore. Lets face it, the wardens did well and they are there for one thing, to fight the darkspawn, anything else goes against all that we learned in DAO, and this way we get to see the real effects of our efforts in DAO.

I would like them to give the player the choice to play as the Warden, Hawke, or a new character.
Wardens are not gone. I believe the Wardens in Anderfels will be a problem.
I think all Thedas will be at war. Nations, Races, Religions, and Cultures.

no it wouldn't get old because a new main character means a new story and get to explore more of the world. Why would that be boring? it makes the world feel larger and it can be silly if one man is going around defeating major bad guys all the time it would get redundant

Hawke's story had no real conclusion, instead a jarbled mess of what Bioware seems to think is a good place to stop the story. So Hawke needs to either return for an expansion, or in the sequel to finish the plotline that was started.

Retour en haut
