I would like them to give the player the choice to play as the Warden, Hawke, or a new character.

Wardens are not gone. I believe the Wardens in Anderfels will be a problem.

I think all Thedas will be at war. Nations, Races, Religions, and Cultures.

I second this! Personally, I would love to play my Warden again. God, I miss her. And I think the Warden's story has just begun. There is plenty of potential for a great story that could involve the Warden. But since he/she is dead in some players saves, it would make a lot a sense to offer a choice: In DA 3 (hack, DA 2 is out for just two or three weeks, so who knows what will happen?) one can either play the Warden or Hawke or create a new character. And everyone is happy.

Well let me first say that Warden is better than Hawke.

That being said your Warden story is absolutely not finished. Depending on your play through then yes it might be finished (if you were a moron and died), but I performed the dark ritual and then in Witch Hunt DLC, my warden went through the Eluvian with Morrigan, poof.

Fast forward to the ending of DA2 and Hawke disappears too.

Connections:
Morrigan got to the warden first.

Flemeth got to Hawke first.

Any logical person cant ignore this and pass it off as coincidence. Something big is gonna happen, while I think it would be totally awesome to bring back the Warden, there is nothing saying that the Warden and Hawke will get along.

The ending of DA2 just provided the calm before the storm. War is coming. Neither the Warden's story or Hawke's story is done, they are both intertwined. Leliana said it at the end, its not coincidence, that they both disappear.

War is coming.

no it wouldn't get old because a new main character means a new story and get to explore more of the world. Why would that be boring? it makes the world feel larger and it can be silly if one man is going around defeating major bad guys all the time it would get redundant

I don't see how the Warden would intervene with this. You could still get
a) a new story
B) explore the world

And about one man defeating bad guys: I can't see how this is a problem. There are plenty of games and movies that allude to topics like that, for instance The Witcher, Baldur's Gate, Die Hard movies, Resident Evil movies are coming spontaneously to mind. I'm sure there are more (and better ones, for that matter). They are all sequals in which one maincharacter defeats major bad guys. Does this make them redundant?

What could be interesting would be DA3 bringing back Origins:

What's with the heavy connection to the warden, I myself would prefer another new character if only because

A) I don't want to have to deal with some stupid explination why Hawke, or the Warden have been brought down in power.

B) I don't want to start the game as a world shaking demigod either.

The Warden is dead please get over it. You can't write a game around a 50% survival rate.

Seeing how the elves are treated like crap an elf would have been a much more interesting character in DA2 than a human.

If that was true, then why is Leliana alive?

Uh, no.

Scenario:

Warden in DA3.

Cue whinefest of 'why am I not with my love interest' or where is xx character? or why am I depowered to level 1 again?

etc etc ad nauseam

It's not gonna happen. Plus Bioware really loves bringing in new companions every game. Look at Mass Effect, for example.

New Game, new hero. You folks had best accept it now.

Obviously some of Andraste's ashes fell on the floor and blew into her gaping neck wound, and she regenerated her head.

What we need, is for our Warden to come back as the primary protagonist.

Undead protagonist? Do not want!

I agree we need a new warden game.

P.S. Do anybody feel like DA2 is like Hawke Origins? Like there is going to be a war, and that is going to be the main event, and DA2 shows how he became the champion and now he will determine the fate of the world and all that, you know what i mean?

Just thinking out loud her, but what if you cold get both, Dragon Age Origins 2 and Dragon Age 3?
Best of both, and for the Hawke lovers: Dragon Age: Chronicles of the Champion? alternatively Dragon Age 2: Chronicles of the Champion?

Although it must be said that your character sacrificing him/her self for Ferelden is cool, if you have another character that didn't.
