But consumables and compagnion's armors. The only weapons/accesories i've bought was in the Black Emporium (+stat ring/neck.. weapons). I don't think I ever bought armors tho, went with the 3 plot sets.

I just bought rare weapons and rings/belts/amulets for party members as well as a bunch of Combustion bombs. Those things are great for crowd control.

Considering I got an armor set in each act that was better than the things I could buy, I bought very little. I got the tomes that gave me talent points and stat points, potions, companion armor upgrades and I bought recipes. There was also a blood mage staff I bought for Merrill from a merchant on the Wounded Coast in act 2. But I didn't buy any weapons, rings or armor for Hawke.

Yup, me too. Cold-Blooded was a hefty 86g, but well worth it.

I saved my gold and bought a rather nifty ring for my femHawke. It cost over a hundred gold. Otherwise, I used most of the stuff that I looted - bought some runes & whatnot too.

Only a couple of items.. but then i didn't buy stuff in Origins either. In Origins, i didn't have enough money (not that there was anything useful to buy anyway), in DA2, i didn't need anything. Hmph.
...
Actually, i really can't remember a game with money where i'd actually use it. TES 3/4: Loot. Fallout series: Loot. KOTOR: Loot. Mass Effect: Loot.

Half way through the game I accidently learned about armor upgrades for companions, spent an hour trying to get them. Also bought the + points books or smth- they were not even books as in DA:O, just straight up upgrades... Also potions, recipes.
Equipment? No, useless mostly.

This was me. Completely annoyed I missed the ones in act 1 though.

I bought potions, and the like. I bought a few items, but ended the game with about 130 gold.

Indeed, a bonus plus was that it looked pretty awesome.

In a way I did when I gave 10 bucks over to buy the Black Emporium.  Definetley not worth if.  Fair warning.  Walk on by.

I started the final bit with less than one sovereign, having spent my remaining 20-something sovereigns on potions, a couple of poisons (that I fogrot to use...), nuke grenades and revive grenades. I did buy dome pieces of equipment here and there (mostly in act 1), and any receipe or companion upgrade I found. Also bought various belts, rings and amulets, compulsively trying to optimize every one of my companion's stats.

I refused to touch my signature edition / pre-order / whatever bonus items or to sell them (though I sort of failed to stick to that when doing one of Sebastian's quests, which reaped disproportionate rewards in the form of green items).

Being able to change my face/hair/color on my console is kinda worth it to me. YMMV though.

The only things I bought were backpacks, skill/attribute upgrades, and one ring for Hawke late in act 3. I don't like buying anything because I always feel like the moment I buy something, there will be something better just around the corner I would have needed that gold for. That's why I only tend to buy stuff that I can't get from loot drops, like the backpacks and skill potions.

Where did you guys find companion armor? The hell did I miss? lol. I was constantly updated my apparel and stocking on potions. I also bought weapons earlier in the game until I realized the looted ones were lethal.

I bought Limbtaker for my warrior and a bunch of runes when I got the Champion set.

Edit: Companion armors are more like upgrades, not actual new sets.

I bought a few particularly interesting Accessories and weapons, but most of my spending was for party-member armor upgrades, backpacks, crafting recipes, potions, an occasional rune, and whatever runes, potions, or poisons/grenades I felt like stocking up on once I had the appropriate recipes and resources. The shops themselves didn't seem to have a whole lot that was useful, but the same could be said of most stores in most of the RPGs I play, including Origins and Mass Effect.

Check every store at least once in every act. Sometimes it's in the Armor section, but sometimes it's under the "gem" icon.

A good number of the armor upgrades are found during companion sidequests, however.

Runes, recipes, tomes, backpacks, companion armor.

I think the best vendor items were off the more hidden ones (disused passage, Wounded Coast). And those are certainly priced accordingly. A few decent accessories off the mainstream vendors, but nothing that wasn't replaced in a following act or later drop.

I rarely ran out of money once the lady across from Martin started rewarding me. Though as an OCD looter/completionist, I did have to put off buying all the vendor-sourced Qunari swords for awhile (preferred the 1200xp per over the 100xp & crap silver per).

This^ Im currently saving for the 113 sovreign staff :P Other than that ive only bought robes of the Void for my Mage and a few Companion armour upgrades, most of the vendor stuff is pointless and i dont really see any use for them for the most part.
