I can't believe you would go through the game hoarding gold and skip buying attribute and talent point books.

Why does the best staff in the game (The Final Thought) have to look bad? According to the strategy guide it's the best staff by base damage, are there any other staffs that compare to it that have blades on the bottom?

One of the magister staff's came close, but I liked the knockback effect that The Final Thought has.


As for buying stuff, I bought most of the tomes/in my end-game save bought Maker's Sigh from the Emporium to completely respec my character. Bought a few staffs/robe topes (to see how they looked) and Rune Designs/Companion Upgrades.

Yeah, looking back I'd say I bought a lot. To be fair though, I was a cheap **** and glitched gold.

LOL. There was companion armor? I missed it except for one set that I no longer had the companion for, and I found that. I bought almost nothing, because I never found anything I cared about. If it didn't look different, I wouldn't have bought it anyway. Aveline was the only one with clothes I even liked a little. I kept Hawkw in his Apostate robes for most of the game. They were okay, too, even if it did look like he was wearing shorts.

I bought some really uber ring for my Tanky type Warrior in the final act, I forgot who it was from but it was over 100g and just had crazy stats.

I bought the upgrades for the companions, backpacks, recipes, the books (and 1 ring) at the Black Emporium and a lot stuff I shouldn't have bought. I was near broke when finishing the game though.
