I just did the questioning beliefs thing and that started the romance. Then he visited Hawke Estate and they did the deed. After that happened though, he just got up and said he just wanted to be happy and said "please forgive me" and then left. Is the romance over? Should I reload from somewhere? I don't know how to "complete" the romance. He's about 60% friendship.

You can get on eof his gifts in act 2, which is in the alienage at night in the sack (get some points for it)

I did the bitter pill quest in act 2. The first time the questioning beliefs came up was in act 3.

I'm starting to get the impression that I screwed up somewhere. :pinched:

I just did the Better Pill quest, and he came back to the Mansion to apologize, but when I asked him not to go, he did, without...staying the night. I noticed his friendship with me wasn't quite maxed out. Now it is, but nothing is happening.

I believe you have to be at either 50 rivalry or friendship for the romance to progress, and then 100 for it to progress again.

Yes.  I personally didn't get Fenris to 50% rivalry until the very beginning of act 3, so I'm trying to get him to 100% now.  Hopefully I'll be able to do so before the end of act 3.  Time to find some quests where I can help the mages and ****** him off some more... xD

My Hawke, hilariously, did the deed with Fenris the night his mother was kidnapped... -___-;; talk about guilt trip. Not to mention emotional roller coaster. I went from happy squeeing fangirl over them hooking up, to wibbling sad fangirl over Fenris leaving, to just straight out "oh shiiieeet..." when I heard about Hawke's mother...

Dunno if that's the way it is for everyone. While I didn't find it amusing at that time, in hindsight, that is one of those weird, hilarious curve balls life tends to throw you. He did, happily, come back to me, though! Even though it took him three sodding years.

Doesn't really answer my question though. Before — Fenris' friendship, NOT rivalry, wasn't quite full when he came the mansion and DID NOT stay. Now he is completely full on the friendship side, but I don't know how to make the romance proceed.

That could be seen as kind of romantic. Hawke and Fenris are together, Fenris leaves, Mama Hawke is kidnapped, killed/broughtback/killedagain, and then Fenris slinks back in to comfort poor Hawke. Kind of a "I know I walked out, but I am still here". Posted Image

Also@ the above^^^: I think you might be s.o.l. Pretty sure if that scene passes without anything having happened, then that's it for that playthrough. Unless you have a save before it so you can up his friendship/rivalry and then try again. Posted Image

I don't. :crying:

But now it's time for a stupid question: Can you have "multiple romances" in this game? Because I kind of...may have...had a fling with Isabela, :innocent: but selected the "just for fun" option and nothing further ever happened after that between me and her.

Well, yes, it was really sweet when he came to comfort me after, showing that he cared a lot, even if he left. Not to mention the conversation he and Anders had  after that, with Anders being pretty pleased and gloating over the fact that we'd broken up, and Fenris saying that leaving was the hardest thing he's ever done.

...Fenris got revenge later, after Anders went loco Vengeance and almost killed an innocent mage. Those two really do try their best to hurt one another.
