Well, did you guys not notice that he was working with Quentin and helping him with his research? For those that don' recognize the name, Quentin is the "Lily Killer" that made your mom into a Frankenstein. So, apparently Quentin found some notes or something on Harvesters. I mean, what was your mom at the end but a "Flesh Golem"? Just bound with her spirit instead of a spirit from the Fade.
So was there really any reason for the Harvester?

I guess I'm the only one who liked Orsimo before he went crazy? I remember when I met him at the end of Act 2, how he was all, "I'll provide a distraction," and I watched that cutscene thinking, "Wow, first enchanter is a bamf."
I never made the connection between him and the serial killer, so now I feel a little betrayed by him on the respect, on top of the whole, going crazy at the end. But yea, I basically saw it the same way a lot of people had said, where he got desperate and went with blood magic - he meant to have control, but of course, that didn't work out.
Clearly, the HoF and Hawke are the only mages who can use blood magic and not turn into an abomination.

This was exactly how I had felt at first, and really through the rest of the game up until the nonsensical Harvester transformation.
