grrr. Why can't us Aussies enter too? We buy games too you know.
It's ironic that its supposed to be about celebrating warden's quest event, which is being held in London, but even UK residents aren't eligible!

Legals I can imagine might be a hassle, but if they want to sell to an international audience, they should deal with it. Or, find some other marketing gimmick that doesn't tell their international customer base that they're not really that important compared to the extra special people who live in north america.
PupSup - I'm not quite sure what pictures of Bioware Edmonton would do for me? But if you could mosey on over and ask them to email me a free Warden's Keep DLC that'd be great.

The laws for this kinda stuff vary from places to place. I remember Aussies used to throw a fit over it back on the WoW boards. If its a major problem: Find out what law or regulation is preventing companies from including you, and then petition a lawmaker to change it.
I doubt that the entire planet (Except North America) has laws against sweepstakes. The simple truth is that even nowadays when for example Europe has become at least a similarly profitable market as NA, we're still traditional second class customers when it comes to entertainment and new tech. I can understand why most companies don't bother, after all we buy and pay increased prices anyway, but changing local laws of any country is not going to change the problem that the vast majority of companies is simply not interested in making all their features globally accessible. Australia isn't some insane dictatorship that forbids lotteries, last I checked.
(This doesn't apply in all cases, naturally. For example it's obvious that M$ would love to make their XNA creators club paid memberships available everywhere, but that some countries -mine, for example- have laws making it hard or impractical to do so.)
Of course we support such behaviour by paying cranked up prices nonetheless.

It is not because the company does not like you.

OMG people for the millionth time. Contests are driven by legal issues. If it is not legal for them to include some countries they will not include them. Become a lawer and then you might understand it a bit better.

Again, that explains some cases (For example Quebec in this case), but these sweepstakes don't just 'not include some countries', they 'only include two countries, like, worldwide'.

I find it most hilarious that the only ones that can enter the sweepstakes to celebrate Warden's Quest are the people who can't actually watch the stream.
Huh? I am a US resident that apparently can enter to win... but I can watch the stream.

It's EA. I really hope you were expecting anything more than token appreciation.
It's interesting that they're meeting my expectations of them, but nonetheless not creating customer satisfaction.

Yup. EA rigged the the domestic laws of nations all over the world so that foreign sweepstakes are considered by many countries to be illegal lotteries. Cagey of them.
LOL heck Quebec (Canadian province) people can't enter... Gotta love politicians and lawyers....
