Handheld himself has seen many many threads bashing this game and handhelds beloved bioware. However Handheld has seen many of the posts containing outlandish things and just being devoid of any sort of sense.

Handheld has created this thread so that people may tell Handheld what is wrong with the game, How it can be fixed, and generally just use constructive criticism to flesh out the problems.

Handhelds only real nitpicking with this game is that their is no autoattack on the console version Handheld understands why there isnt but Handheld himself feels that if it were implemented then Handheld can return to his pause and play on consoles as well as pc.

Production value is lower, as seen by re-using the same 4-5 maps over and over, combat is less strategic due to waves of spawning adds which bog down combat and make for a more hack-n-slash play style, and the writing simply isn't as tight. By that last part I mean that there are fewer PC to companion interactions then in previous Bioware games, even less than ME 2 from what I saw of my full play-through, NPC interaction is lower in general (no out of combat skill checks, etc), and the overall drive of the storyline feels lacking. I only began to taste the story picking up and becoming compelling right as the game was ending, which is unfortunate.

What I play RPGs for, and from what I gather many on this forum do as well, is not just a well-crafted gaming experience from the perspective of combat, but also an emotional journey conveyed to us through the trials and tribulations of the PC and his/her interaction with the world and other characters. I play RPGs because I want to become emotionally invested in what is going on and to see the resolution of the various conflicts that I've enmeshed myself in. Bioware has accomplished this in the past, BG 1 & 2, KOTOR, even NWN to an extent, but I think they have not been able to bring this to the fore in DA 2, causing dissatisfaction.

Also troubling is that DA 2 in not alone in the lack of ability to capture my emotional interest. I feel similarly about ME 1 and 2 as well. Great games though they were, I still has problems investing in Shepard. Maybe I don't like voiced PCs, who knows?

The fact u probaly got into the story late game could be a fact they are making room for DLC maybe another awakening? i mean i wasnt expecting that in DAO i thought onces the Archy is dead thats it end game! which sucked as i was just getting into the game at the final battle and i was relived to find DLC extended origins =P

For me DA2 is alot better maybe coz i luv  hack and slash games so im probaly biased but meh arnt all reveiws?
personaly Da2 has a greater feel of imersion (w/e the spelling) its probaly just like ME and ME2 with the fact ur PC talks helps things alittle i also think that the added dark humour kinda makes the game alittle funnier i mean i would not really blieve any1 would find that kinda situation funny, yet u can make ur PC treat their life as a joke and not be serious which can lead to funny NPC replys =P

Yes the game is alittle to fast in combat, YES  u cant change compaion armour which i luv tbh less hassle...and i liked the fact that enermys DONT JUST come from the front now they try to pwn ur healer  and mages from behind while ur tank runs off kinda adds the whole  gotta look over ur should thing.

Man-Giraffe-Dog has been spotted! It's all over the news! MGD is the greatest threat to mankind ever and I've come

here to warn you! Here's Proof (person who took the picture was brutally killed 5 seconds after taking it) And it's HIDING it's manliness at the moment, that's why it looks like a giraffe-dog.
