There's no way the story end that way. The whole world is at war. Mage have rebelled from the Chantry. Templar have rebelled to fight them. Hawke disapear with Isabela. AND WHERE IS STEN!!!!!! Do you think the story will end by DLC or with a sequel?

I hope it ends in DA3. A world war cannot be negated in a DLC or an expansion pack. However, an expansion could be excellent, if it focused on something else.

I hope we get an expansion. There's a good 3 year gap between the ending and Varric telling his story. It would be nice to see why everyone left Hawke's side but the love interest.

I think It would have way too much variable to make a entirely new game to finish the story. More likely an Awakening style expansion plus a couple of DLC (To cash-in as much as possible)

I would say dlc or some expansions to help fill in the 3 year gaps between the acts. Then Dragon age 3.

as for dlc i refuse to buy any dlc for dragon age 2 due to such a crappy job done on main story line least untill fixes have been made to correct this

also i will post pone buying da3 for about 6months after it comes out just becuase i dont want to be so disappointed in bioware game again lol

I am reasonably lead to believe it's going to be either dlc or an expansion. Most likely because the Arishok clearly tells you that he will be back, the world is at a huge war between mages/templars, a 3 year gap and then Hawke Dissapears with his LI... Yeah, so much for a closure... Heh

Killed the guy on 1v1 so I guess he won't come back in my story.

Either a full fledged game or a long expansion would do.

In my ideal game Cassandra tracks Hawke down, finding him/her with the love interest chosen and Bethany. Cassandra convinces Hawke to help put a stop to the madness, but Hawke says that she needs to get her companions back together if she is going to be able to do anything. This would allow us to see different parts of Thedas while we search for the missing companions.

From there Hawke gets to decide if he/she wants to restore balance or create a new world order.

Oh it would be nice to get Leliana on loan from the Chantry while you undertake this task.

It would have to be a TOB size expansion if they want to finish it up in that manner. I'm betting there will be DLC that hopefully gives us a better picture at what is happening, but it won't be resolved until DA3.

But really if they do go that route, I really hope that they just use the party members from Dragon Age 2. At least a portion of them. I really want Varric and Merrill at the very least. Heck, Anders too!

I'd only want Varric back. I hope that Varric returns as a companion in DA:III. I also want Cassandra & Leliana to be companions

I hate Merill. The whole crying bunny blood mage creep me out. I sided with Anders even thought he's a crazy terrorist. Varric's my bud and Isabela's my girl.


The only compadre I want are Varric and Isabela. I like Aveline but her part is done. Bethany might be nice too.

Very interesting theory.

I really hope we learn more about Flemeth, and Morrigan. In addition to that, the Eluvian mirrors.
I want the answers to the 3 questions I just expressed at some point in the future for the Dragon Age franchise.
Morrigan was my favorite character/companion thus far, and I romanced her and followed her through the Eluvian as she was my romance on my Warden... I really want to see what happened (happens?)

I wonder what that promise Maric made was... and why she had us summon her in the beginning of the game. What/who is Flemeth. What do the Eluvian mirrors do? Where is Morrigan, my Warden, and our son!? And how is he special?
