it happens in nauture actually. animals other than humans can be gay. its quite natural.
That guy probably is not homophobic. Saying you don't agree with homosexuality doesn't make you homophobic. Homophobia is hating gays but he probably just hates the act they do and if it was natural, children would be produced. No offense.
I never called him homophobic. I was just correcting him. Homosexuality is in fact natural. And there are plenty of natural things that don't produce children: like blinking, it's totally natural and doesn't produce children.

That is not a homosexual kiss, one of those men was clearly bitten on his tongue by a snake and the other is just sucking out the poison.
Actually, in defense of Bioware, they don't force you to select a same sex option for your character and they don't really force you to buy the game either (at least not where I live). Homosexuality exists in Thedas, it exists here on Earth too. You don't have t like the picture you posted, just don't pursue a homosexual relationship with your character in the game?
the only thing that bothers me from a believability's perspective ( note a word different from realism because I don't want 'Fantasy does not have to make sense!!' comments ) is that homosexuality seems pretty... acceptable in Thedas. was homosexuality really seen that much as ok in the middle ages? is bioware afraid to treat mature issues such as discrimination and prohibition based on sexuality or other stuff related to real life happenings in their adopted medium? if they are, I bet they're not the exception as far as video games go, at least. the media really is up in arms about any sexual themes in video games so much that bioware apparently had to tone it down.

Disagreeing with homosexuality is like disagreeing with being a woman or black. And the act? There are more "unnatural" things done by humans which are pretty normal.

By definition your awkward feeling is homophobia I'm afraid. It's a pretty irrational response to that stimulus.

Well the words are very different. Sex doesn't need to be productive, it can just be fun.

If 2 guys/girls love eachother/want sex I dont care, thier business.
However I am not homophobic, all that is required of me is to be tolerant to gays, which is fine, I am not required however to like seeing 2 guys kissing. But yeah they can do what they want, *shrugs* I am not a homophobe and thats all that matters, you think I am then fine, but I now I am not so it dosent matter.

well if we go by that it is discrimination based on being gay ( feeling awkward when seeing gay couples kissing triggers a response different than one you would get from a straight couple ), but it's not automatically hatred toward gay people like so many people equate homophobia with.
