And how do we get the Toil and Trouble quest in Journeys?
I just beat a playthru with the rogue but I can't seem to get it, Im now doing a mage playthru but I don't know how to get that quest. Please help, I just want to see how its like^_^

Oh and what do I do in the quest and where do I go to do finish it.

Go to the blue dot that I have circled and arrowed in this picture.  Good luck finding all the mushrooms.  I've found one once on three different playthroughs.

Go to the potion maker in the first town you get to (one near door where you first enter); she should give you the quest, and its fairly self explanatory from there. Turn in is the same person.

Really?  I was able to find probalby 10 or more mushrooms on each of my three playthroughs.  At least 3 in every area I would say (just like the wells or roots).

Really?  I was able to find probalby 10 or more mushrooms on each of my three playthroughs.  At least 3 in every area I would say (just like the wells or roots).

Those aren't the right kind of mushrooms

EDIT: Here are the mushrooms the quest requires.  You don't get these from the blue mushroom patches that restore mana/stamina.

The mushrooms are in the dungeon areas (the things that regenerate your stamina/mana).  You may have passed a few in dungeons that you already completed, so I reccomend looking there.  If you can't find any in those, there are always a few (I would say at least 1 or 2) in the final dungeon area, so you can get some there as well.

All in all I think this quest possibly requires a bit of prior planning since you can take the mushrooms without realizing its a quest later; however, I was still able to complete it regardless of not knowing about it, so you will probably be OK.

Hmm???? They are what myself and my roomate used as our mushrooms for the quest... didn't even know there were other ones...

For me when they fill up my mana/stamina, they also give me 1 mushroom for the quest.  Have done it with all 3 characters and its worked that way every time.

I too got the mushroom stalks from the regular blue stamina/mana restoring mushrooms.

Huh... Maybe you're right. I could've sworn I got a couple out of a chest or from a battle, but never from the ones you rest at.

Dvergar and Swedish_Plateau are right, you can collect the regular mushrooms while the quest is active.

Hehe not at all : ) hopefully you can complete the quest!  4 free stat points is pretty nice!

What if you used them throughout the quest to destroy the 3 machines and you can't find anymore mushrooms?

Your journal should say, but I believe it was 4.

I missed this quest the first time around. I started up a 2nd game and did it right off the bat. If they do not respawn you can just do it my way.

I had all my three saves at the last ogre battle before I realized how to do this quest.  I was VERY attentive to hit all itmes in the caves so I know I had cleaned them out.  I reloaed (v1.37 is showing at the moment) and there were 3 patches that re-appeared.  the caves were recovered in fog of war but no baddies.

Good luck.  This was what was missing from my final acheivement (complete all play throught).

actually it's not too bad, and if you can't find them , just start a new campaign and then you will get them but make sure you talk to the vendor 1st!!
