What's missed if you just import from Origins?

Hi everyone ~

I have 3 origins playthroughs, but only 2 of those go through Witch Hunt.  I'd like to use that one, a Warrior playthrough, on my next Hawke.  I'm curious about what I'd miss out on, though.

All I noticed during my playthrough was a comment about the Architect (which the game got wrong, anyway), and the Nathaniel cameo.

If I import straight from Origins, will I still get the Nathaniel quest?  Are there any other flags I might have missed on my first playthrough that matter for Awakening-Golems-Witch Hunt?

I think the only DLC that matters is Awakenings

I'm not certain but I think wardens keep may play a part as well, with regards to the warden documents and Avernus's potion

Right; my question is -- what aspects of Awakening matter if nothing is selected? Do they assume that Nate survived and the Keep was defended, or...?

Nate always survives Awakening even if Virgil's Keep falls. IIRC, it assumes the Architect survived and that Amaranthine survived if you don't import from Awakenings.

Friend of mine imported a save where she saved Amaranthine and didn't have Nate with her at the Mother and Delilah never showed up to start the quest in DA2...so...some flags may not post if you do certain actions. Her card for Nate said he survived Vigils.
I believe the Hero of Ferelden Default also assumes Nate didn't survive. (according to the strategy Guide).

I'm curious, what if in Awakening, you killed off/don't take Anders, he's kinda important in II. Or do the templars just take him away, I didn't off him myself, so I'm not sure.

Escapes for the 8th time ftw.

hmm you know what...I think...the game would just insert him anyway...without us having a choice. DAMN if only we could get Nathaniel by default that way. I wanted him in the game SO badly much more than Janders.

Anders died in my Awkenings game, and his return didn't bug me, I just assumed that he (or Varric) was fudging the details of his return and his merging was more like Wynne's. (Who died and was still animated by a Fade Spirit.)

@apantoliani- I haven't tried it yet myself, but seeing as how he's alive and well in DA2 then the templars probably just took him away... and he escapes again. xD Makes me wonder how he came to be a Grey Warden when that happens, though - does he? And how did he come upon Justice?

With regards to Nate, I never got to saw him in-game baww. :< Probably because I imported a save from Origins and not Awakening.
