ME2 Start Up Error 8001002B

Hey all,

I'm having an issue, I purchased ME2 for PS3, the game worked fine for the first month.. Suddenly though, I'm recieving an error on start up. I don't know what seems to be the issue, because all other games work fine, and when I read about this error online, they say it's due to scratched discs, or BD drive errors. But the disc is in mint condition. Also I am using the 120gb slim system.

Any advice or tips?

I'm having a similar issue, but am receiving no error message. Instead my game just freezes whenever I try to play it. It worked fine for the first month though... not sure what the hell happened. However, I have the downloadable version, not a disc. I haven't been able to find any help on here and EA customer service is a joke. Best we can hope for is a miraculous cure from the next patch. Hopefully it comes soon...

You might try PlayStation Customer Service... 1800-345-7669

I just got off the phone and I might've solved my issue, will have to wait till the download and installation is complete to know for sure. They had me go through a system check that looks to see if the files on the hard drive are corrupted; they were in my case. Not sure this would help you since you have the disc based version, but its worth a try.

I did try calling them already, did all the troubleshooting and they were at a loss. I'm not too sure what I can do.. I'm not impressed though. This is the only game I'm finding an issue with.
