He mentioned in my convo that he originally wanted me to help with a problem in orlais but he later said it was attempted assassinations and political turmoil. Also like I said before, when he says the old ball and chain saying, Tegen said that the queen hates it when he calls her that and something else but its obvious the warden hasnt left yet.errant_knight wrote...
There's nothing to indicate this that I know of. I got the feeling that Alistair had wanted to ask about something but that having Meredith know he was there derailed it, so he just indicated that he was worried about the situation in Kirkwall. But that was a king thing, not a warden thing. We have no idea what the wardens were doing. It was interesting, though. I wanted to go with Carver.StarcloudSWG wrote...
There are two "Important matters" that the Wardens show up about. One is if Alistair is king. He's seeking free mages to help in Ferelden.
The other has to do with the relic from the primeval thaig, the one that shows up in Merideth's hands. They're hunting that down because it's a threat.

So pretty much if your sibling is templar/circle or dead the Wardens are just there and have no real importance to the story and if your sibling is with them then it means more.
Though the Wardens chilling around Kirkwall for 4 years or so is kind of odd.

your assumption is right and if im not mistaken the wardens hq is in the free marches not far from kirkwall so its not all that odd plus since its a port city they probably had to travel there to get to amaranthine.Big Mac Heart Attack wrote...
It's the Warden that you meet if your sibling gets the taint in the Deep Roads. I'm not at the point in my second play yet(just started act 2) but I make the assumption that if your sibling is a Grey Warden then they will be in that scene with the other Warden.

The Wardens HQ is Weiskaupf, which is in the Anderfels. Not the Free Marches.

Did he? Very interesting! I'll have to listen to that again. Sounds like more DA3 foreshadowing to me.lgeass88 wrote...

Which did make me wonder - do the Qunari respect the immunity and neutrality of the Grey Wardens, similar to other nations? And thus the Wardnes could just walk by the Qunari on their way out and not be attacked by them?
Or did the wardens just want to escape a fight and not get involved in something they consider less important than their mission?

I think it's just hints at the greater story arc with the Architect/Blight/Idol/Flemeth/Morrigan. There's clearly something much bigger going on and these are hints at it. Whether that's Dragon Age 3 or even further down the road, we'll see.

Ye but when I asked him what it was assassination atttemps and uprising but a few of the other characters and Alistair mentions that this is common. The only foreshadowing I heard the entire game was when the Arishok said that the qunari are comming and considering that it took all of Thedas to fight to a draw that would be bad right now with all the chantries falling apart. Guessing DA3 will be about some great hero unifying the land against themerrant_knight wrote...
