I'm curious about this. After the completion of the Deep Roads expedition and the short talk with the viscount after the timeskip, I get a slew of companion-talk quests for everyone except Merril. And then I notice that there's a 'talk to her' quest in my completed quests section, which is very odd. I certainly don't remember doing this before the Deep Roads, and when I loaded a save I had before departing for the expedition, there wasn't any such quest there either.
Did anyone else see this? Or is it just me? Or are there specific criteria that need to be met to open the quest?
