Their disappearances...aren't connected right? I can see why my Hawke fled.... mage/anti chantry supporter w/Anders.....
But my elf warden? Hell...she's neither anti mage nor anti chantry..but she'd have to hunt Hawke down for cryin' out loud due to Anders little stunt....

In the ending, it says it has to be connected. Though I think that's more their assumption and less fact, considering how my Warden went into the Eluvian and the same thing was said. I doubt Hawke is chilling with my Warden in mirror-world.

Hawke more than likely had to flee due to the troubles he stirred up in choosing a side. Templars would want to bring him in for siding with the Mages, and Mages outside of Kirkwall would want to bring him down for allowing such slaughter. In the end, they both fit the roles of badass heroes who need to vanish for their own reasons.
Personally? I think Flemeth's involved. They both happened to be saved by her, after all. Both of their fates are tied to her intervention, and both owe their success/failures to the Witch of the Wilds.

That's true... and Flemeth loves to have them repay her debts..... maybe she whisked them off for special training? Y' know..considering Thedas is heading to hell in a handbasket right now
Hard to say. Flemeth is out for her own ends, and will do what she feels necessary. Half the time, it seems like she's making it up as she goes. >_> Perhaps they're now a threat with their roles fulfilled? Perhaps they simply needed to disappear.
... Or maybe they've simply come to the same conclusion; Flemeth is pulling the strings, and she needs to be stopped. Time for a secret adventure!

No, not really.
But I get the feeling Flemeth's role is far from finished.

In fact, it has just begun!
Sorry, had to make it sound more dramatic.
*EDIT* But yea, I agree we will definitely be seeing her in the future DLC/expansions/games in the franchise I'm thinking.

I was kind of hoping the wardens story would end in Origins. Wardens fight blights. The last blight is over. There shouldn't be another one for hundreds of years. Wardens fight dark spawn which are in the deep roads, thus I don't think wardens should play a major role in any future DA unless its darkspawn related.
Very true.
However, as we've seen with some characters; they've given up on their Grey Warden role for other things (Alistair and Anders for example)

Maybe the Warden's role isn't done. Hawke's can't be done - no DLC or an expansion yet!

What is even the point of making Hawke the viscount? Absolutely nothing comes of it; we don't see so much as a coronation, just an achievement pop up, and he abandons the job before the throne is warm. I can only think that it might be the focus of an expansion, because otherwise it is a pretty meaningless bone to throw to the player.
Meh. These characters aren't going to come back - it isn't like the Warden is going to walk on screen in DA3 as a voiced NPC - and that is cool. But I don't like how they get the Revan treatment and vanish.

I've got a feeling they're going to pull a Revan and The Exile on us.
Reven might still be alive. Who knows with the Exile. But that's another game entirely.
It wouldn't surprise me though that as we progress through each Dragon Age game we'll start to see story arcs converging at some point. An army of heros and champions ready to usher in a golden age. With Flemeth as the Supreme Allied Commander. *Joking*
The only thing there is to remember about Dragon Age. The Game is about the Dragon Age and everything that goes on during that period. The Hero and the Champion have both had their stories told but I'm sure others will rise.
