Digging through the forums, I'm seeing a lot of scattered reports of players receiving "Unable to Load Area" errors. In the interest of making these easier to identify and track, please post the details to this central sticky.
In particular, we'll want to know what type of Xbox you're playing on, where you're saving your games, what region of the world you're playing in, what DLC you have installed, and whether you're playing off the disc or an install of some sort.
Thanks!

Darktown,
Periods of loading increase every time I go into this area, eventually leading to an infinite Loading Screen Loop.
Loading Screen still goes through the cycle of day to dark flashes and the moving shadows across the artwork, just takes more cycles per travel. First time took 2 cycles, next time took 3. Four plus travels = infinite loop.
Reseting the Xbox seems to fix this problem however. Playing for periods of 2 hours at a time, system is turned off for at least 30 minutes between each session.
250 gb 2010 Xbox, All saves on the harddrive.
United States, all DLCs have been installed for both DAO and DA2, playing on the disk.

In the Cave of the Varterral, my save was in the Cave, after I killed the Varterral. And yes, after a reboot of the console (well, I went to bed and tried again the next day) it worked again
Game not installed on HD, playing from the disc directly. New Xbox Elite, playing from Vienna, Austria

Playing on a 360 slim. Have the game installed to Hard Drive. Have the Exiled Prince installed. Have Signature Edition of Game and all unlocks/DLC that came with it installed on Hard Drive. Have Following unlocks installed on Hard Drive.
Unlocks:
Hayder's Razor
Boots of the Frozen Wastes
Hindsight
The Far Cliffs of Kirkwall
Lothering's Lament
Of Things Not Lost
Fadeshear
The Lion of Orlais
Staff of Parthalan
Blood Dragon Armor
Ivo Family Crest
Air of Confidence
Evra's Might
Evra's Trophy Belt
This happens during Night Terrors - Act 2 quest.
I start the quest, go into the fade. Bring with me Fenris, Isabela, and Varric. My character is a Female Hawke, Mage around level 14 or so. Fenris' armor is now a solid grey color instead it's normal texture and color like my other companions. Still am able to play in the fade. I get past the little mini games for the stat boosts. Talk to Torpor and turn him down. Go into the Pride Demon door and convince Feynriel to embrace his power which drives him mad. Then go into Desire Demons door and Do the same thing there convincing him to go with his father, again driving him more insane. Both Fenris and Isabela are ejected from the Fade.
I defeat both the Pride and Desire Demons and then Feynriel asks me to kill him in the fade. I agree and end his suffering and thus make him tranquil. I am returned to the normal world in game and tell Feynriel's mother that he is now Tranquil. Keeper Marethari gives me the book and the game hits a loading screen. I am ejected from my game to the opening screen where I am told that the game is unable to load the area. I am now back at main menu where I can pick from "Resume Game, Load Game, Options" and so on.

The quest I believe in act 2 where the magistrate asks you to bring back a fugitive whos hold up outside town. When entering the cave area the game glitches out all together and i have to restart my xbox. after I restart however the game loads from the point when I entered and I get no further errors.

This happened to me once, after starting the expedition to the Deep Roads. However, turning the system off and then back on again and then playing through the pre-mission conversation again, it worked just fine.

Was playing the signiture edition game directly from the disc, saving to the internal hard drive.

In order to fix load area issues the best option ist to eject the disc and reboot the console in order to clear out the cache. It used to happen a lot with Origins.

I had these issues when I first played on my Slim with the game installed. Restarting the Xbox and clearing the hard-drive cache upon starting the game solved the "Loading..." glitch.

Happened to me as well as I was entering the Gallows at the very end of the game. I am beginning to think that the issue may be do to some kind of memory leak, as it only seems to happen if you have been playing the game for more than a few hours. I am also noticing that after about two hours or so of non interrupted game time that I have have to wait to loot a body (sometimes up to 30 seconds or more) after a battle.

I'm not 100% sure this qualifies for this thread, but I sometimes get areas where you normally get the 'Hit A to gather your party and venture forth' or whatever... and they just load automatically, half of the time resulting in it stuck in Loading while my party is using skills. (Not taking damage, nor dealing damage mind you... just kinda odd)
Anyway, Playing on a 360 slim, installed to HD, Regular edition, all DLC on it, and a ton of unlockables on it as well.
Not sure what region I'd be on, play in Kansas.

I have a 2010 arcade with a 15gb hd. I just defeated the ariahock and the game refuses to load. The infinite loop is up and because the game also displays the autosave I don't want to try and restart my console invade it corrupts my save. I have the black emporium, blood dragon armor, and sir isaacs armor installed but currently have only "superior" helm gauntlets and chest equipped with a heavy shield and Templar sword so I don't think items are messing me up.

I'm on an original Xbox 360 Elite. The game is not installed to the hard drive. I'm getting the error while trying to go from the docks to the gallows at the end of Act 3.
The game is the signature edition, but Exiled Prince/Black Emporium are NOT installed. Preorder bonuses, the tomes, and the Staff of Parlathan are, however.

XBOX 360 Elite (DAII Signature edition--game not installed to hardrive) SE content including Sebstian and Black Emporium installed.
I get this error trying to enter the Templar Halls to fight Meredith at the end of Act III,which leaves me unable to complete the game.I also got this error when I tried to re-load my save (the save in question being immediately before heading to the Gallows from the Docks)

250gb Slim, Signature edition. I had no DLC installed when the problem occurred. The game was installed on my hard drive and saves were kept on the hard drive. The Primeval Thaig would not load during the expedition in the Deep Roads. I uninstalled the game and it worked fine. Reinstalled for later playthroughs and the problem hasn't returned.

This happened to me when going into Sundermount during Act III after completing both parts of The Awiergan Scrolls that take place there. This was before Merrill's Act III side quest.
I am playing on an Xbox Core, 20 GB Harddrive. Signature Edition with all the DLC installed. A simple turning off the Xbox and turning it back on completely fixed the issue. My guess it was the length of time played without pause (around 8 hours).
