The same problem from DAO is still here in DA2. I don't mean this sarcastically, but sometimes I sincerely wonder if the developers actually played the game on the PS3 or tried to use the codex on it.
The Problem
You can't see which items are marked as new if you have to scroll to see them. As soon as you scroll to or over an item it is marked as read. If you haven't looked at the codex for awhile, there may be many new entries. But there is no way to see which are new because new items will be marked as read as soon as you get to them (and before you can see if they are new).
The only items you can see marked as new are the first 10 or so items that don't require scrolling. As soon as you scroll, you have no idea what is new since it's marked as read by the time you get to it.
I can find no way to "page down"--scrolling is the only option.
I am baffled as to why the codex functions in a way that makes the new/read features completely unusable.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem?
Thanks
