Yes, I have the same questions. In Origins, it was pretty simple: STR and DEX. Now that CUN is the DEF modifier, and DEX merely affects your CRIT chances, I feel like its a wide open ball game!

Stacking willpower isn't necessary in this game because of the Bolster skill.
You could recharge stamina as much as you like with no cooldown.
You need to pit points into STR and CON for armor requirements.
Also Its a good idea to put some points into Dex or you won't be able to land many critical hits.
And if you're playing on Nightmae, mkae sure you get the Cleave skill ASAP.

I beat the game with 2str, 1 stamina every level up with about 4 to 6 pts overall on willpower. I never needed stamina especially with bolster and second wind

Yea Bolster is kinda overpowered... I was shocked when I realized there was no cooldown for it.

I start off boosting Strength and Constitution evenly so that I can equip weapons and armor. Once Constitution is at 32, I switch to boosting Strength and Willpower to up my Stamina.
Keep in mind that I'm playing on Normal, so higher difficulties might need different approaches.

I can't find it elsewhere on the net. Is 32 the max Con needed to equip end game armor?

It was simpler, actually: only STR.Gerg Huventude wrote...

In DA2, STR and CON (a bit more emphasis on STR), maybe some WILL (20-something, 180 Stamina or so), just to be able to use your talents.
And yes, I believe you need 31 or 32 for the best armors.

I ended up putting a few in Willpower for a little boost since I went Berzurkah.
