DAO 2H Warrior was near useless. Very true that Mighty Blow was such a slow move that missed half the time. DW Warrior would be nothing more than a redundant DW Rogue.
Arcane Warrior would be interesting to see return but what the mage class really needs is a specialization that can synergize alot better with the other specs like Blood Mage and Spirit Healer. Force Mage doesn't do anything to directly affect the other specs besides CC and the invaluable Unshakeable passive. None of the Mage specs seem to synergize with each other. On the other hand both the Warrior and Rogue have amazing synergy with their respective specs. Like Berzerker/Reaver or Assassin/Shadow.

There is a good possibility that there will be three new specs in either the next (or at least a very soon DLC, or maybe in the first expansion) containing Archmage, Bard, and Juggernaut.
Or at least that's what digging around in the game's guts leads to theorizing.

From a game lore standpoint, Arcane Warrior being 'lost' to us makes sense. The Wadren found the phylactery in the Brecellian forest where it had been undisturbed for thousands of years. If the Fereldan Circle wouldn't have it, so no way the Kirckwall Circle would.

And yet the warden met two other arcane warriors....
And the darkspawn disciples were also some kind of arcane warriors.
Aside from that, why only merill get some a sustainable Aoe? The battlemage should have a comeback too, with Hand of winter and some sustainable Aoes-spells.

Good find. BioWare is promising an awesome story dlc is in the works, so this might be in it.FaeQueenCory wrote...

Archmage sounds beasty, I'd hit that.
