I can escape this by Esc-skipping them, but that means I have no idea what's going on in the story

My game keeps freezing and crash during the between-act cinematics...
I can escape this by Esc-skipping them, but that means I have no idea what's going on in the story
Anyone had this problem? I really want to be able to see whats going on...
