I am having an issue with the "Questioning Beliefs" quest that comes up after completing "A New Path". No matter how I finish "A New Path" (killing the Elves or taking responsibility and slinking out of there) I receive the "Questioning Beliefs" quest and then am unable to complete it. It shows up in my journal, but when I look at the map there is no arrow pointing to Merrill's house. When I go to her house there is no arrow pointing to her and speaking with her just gives one of her canned responses about the holes in her roof.

Am I missing something? Has anyone else run into this?

One bit of behaviour which may or may not be by design is that after I kill the Pride Demon, but before I exit the cave I can see that "Questioning Beliefs" has already been added to my journal, even though "A New Path" is still there as it is incomplete until facing the Elves outside. Again, no idea if that is supposed to happen.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them, I don't want to keep playing forward, I hate leaving quests unresolved.

I've had "questioning beliefs" stay static even after completing the quest, both for fenris and anders, just try to ignore the quest marker, as the quest doesn't need to be done.
