Well I meant that the two had to go together... not only does she have to be awkward, but she needs to be an alien or swamp witch. IIRC Bioware fans hated Ashley too, who actually reminded me of an ex of mine. They do try to put in a little something for everyone.

I found Ashley to be a bit of a total b****, a racist, and a religious nut. Which were why I went for the alien chick, personally... as for DA2, I find Isabella to be alot of fun, and much more attractive than Merill. Haven't finished the game yet, though, so still not sure who to go with.. the elf seems like more of a romance, and yet she's also kinda nuts.. whereas Isabella's got a whole, 'you can crack my legs but not my heart' kinda thing going on which is a challenge in my book.

I am amused by all the butthurt people in this thread, too, who are running around stroking their raging hate-on for Isabella. She's a video game character, and she has depth DESPITE also being rampantly promiscuous. And the conversations between her and Varric are priceless.

Yeah I heard the party banter with Isabella is really funny. I want to put Varric and Isabella in my party but I'm playing on hard... I can't have two rogues, especially when Isabella isn't really that useful to me on the harder difficulties lol. Perhaps I'll put them both in my party tommorow and just run around Kirkwall, and hear some of the banter that way.

Viconia is still my favourite LI out of any of the games. Maybe it's because at that time the whole romance thing was not a horrible cliche they role out in every game. Or more likely she is the most interesting character they ever wrote.

Sums up this whole **** thing pretty well I think. But in all honesty it probably boils down to the instincts that during the act of reproduction a woman takes a much MUCH larger risk than a man does. A woman who sleeps around easily probably signifies that she's irresponsible not only to her own body but the possibilities of another life. This attribute is probably  something no one wants in real life. Of course there are exceptions, sometimes you get to know someone and their other qualities shine through, etc etc etc. This idea is also less valid in today's society because we are better at preventing them, however it doesn't mean our minds stop thinking that way yet.

I'm a male and I don't sleep around myself, and I won't go out of my way to criticize a man who does that, however if he does so because he enjoys toying with someone's emotions then he deserves no respect. Women the same.

This thread has to be some kind of subtle reverse psychology joke.

1. Firstly, in a world with magical miracle healing, if that's not an excuse to shag every hot chick with a dubious sexual past, I don't know what is.

2. Most of the people here come across as prudish virgins. With double standards no less. A girl is hot, knows it, and is willing to use that to her advantage, and immediately the mob screams '****!' People who are comfortable with their sexuality are better at it. This is a fact. Knowing I'm good in bed and enjoying it, why wouldn't I take the chance to sleep with people who might be as fun? Zevran? The freaking Hero of Kirkwall, a noble no less? Fenris, some crazy assassin with cool as heck glowy Lyrium tattoos? Hell why not.

3. Equating being comfortable with your sexuality with being 'non-romantic' material is a dumb stereotype perpetuated by Hollywood. The only relation this has with reality, is that people who are good at sex get to be more picky about who they settle with than people who are crap in bed. Go figure how all those who didn't manage to get the nymphos off in bed cry '****!' when they get dumped.

4. Also plenty of people saying she was made for the immature crowd. Personally, the people on here with over idealistic views about sex, and say coddled childish things about 'OMG SHE MUST HAVE A ZILLION STDs' obviously have little knowledge of actual real life workings of sex are on about the same maturity level, and have the advantage of knowing they're even more insufferable because of their snottiness.

I hope the lot of you have your little romantic fantasy come true, and end up with some neurotic crazy Merrill or some equal prude Aveline. That'll learn ya good.

I have to agree. It seems to people here that being sexually promiscuous diminishes you as a person. Isabela is a complex character in many ways, people are just too blind or conservative to see it.
