I also love the way Isabella winds up Aveline. ROFL! Plus, I like the idea of sailing away with a pirate.

Anyone who sees more of Isabella realises she's actually a pretty okay person. She refuses to trade in slaves, humours and is fairly nice to Merrill, and is honest about her intentions.
But no, SHE LIKES TEH SEKS, SHE WILL GO TO HELL AND YOU WITH HER.

Moi
A **** is a ****. Regardless of which genitals he or she has.
I'm getting seriously pissed by this "Hurr you men are all about double standards if it was a man sleeping around you'd be all "WHOO AWESOME!"
That is total bullcrap.

Its just that much more fun when you get to horrify people with your antics. I'm sure Izzy and Merrill can figure out something interesting to do with that oddly shaped staff I found.

It IS just a video game and I do think the character is well-written, so I'm going to have Hawke romance her at some point just to see how that plays out.

Is it just me or did the world's most self-righteous and narrow minded people just gather around in the same thread? Seriously folks.
No, its not just you. I think it has to do with having a character that doesn't need to be attached to your character automatically. Mind you, Merrill's a fine character, but so is Isabella, and they're also polar opposites of one another. So, if you can't stand to have a li that won't succumb to you're planned path, seems like you simply lost control...
Says more about the people who don't like her than it does her.

Actually, I'm having far more fun laughing at the prudes. In fact, its turning my promiscuous self on like you wouldn't believe. I'm gonna have to see how many of the characters I can rope into an orgy. With any luck, someone will make a mod for that if its not yet in game.

Get both of them down to the blooming rose, or to the Hawke estate and wait until the end. I'm sure there's someone Isabella hasn't seen in a while who's always down for some fun.

The members of your party that might actually capable of a functional romantic relationship aren't options for Hawke. I'm not complaining at all. I just think it's interesting.

Isabella makes no apologies for being a ho-bag. I like her for that. She is what she is.
This. She's my favorite character in the game, no other LI is as appealing as she is.

Really, thinking on it, pretty much all of your romance options are train wrecks. Fenris is super emotionally dysfunctional. Anders is going insane. Merrill is willfully ignorant and naive. Isabela will sell you out for a bag of tater chips.

Anyone worth knowing is a little f**ked in the head. It's what makes them worth getting to know. Well balanced people are ok, good friends too, but their personal stories will never be as good as the girl with too much jewelry, the bloody daggers and the rug burns on her knees.

You might want to be careful with women you meet at the docks. Pirates.... lay anchor in filthy places, if you know what I mean.

Sure. But it's also important to note that their relationship with Hawke eventually "fixes" them somewhat if you go the friendship route. Fenris becomes willing to face and work through his emotional issues. Anders finds Hawke's support to be what he needs to keep from teetering over the brink. Merrill finally opens her eyes and owns up. Isabela finds some amount of nobility to draw upon.

Yeah, but keep in mind the character is Shepardesque to a degree, not that that is a bad thing, but he/she's the anchor for the whole team. He's supposed to be the fixer of all things, even the fixer of people.

Isn´t it like that in all RPGs?
"Hey, Mister Hero-out-to-save-the-universe, I lost my cat, can you get it off the tree?"
"Sure Mister NPC"
*Exp awarded for saving the kitten!*
"Hey Mister Hero-out-to-save-the-universe, I am emo, can you fix me?"
"Sure thing, good boy"
*exp awarded for fixing the NPCs sh!tty attitude*
It is one of those stables of RPG genre.
One I would appreciate BioWare to break by the way, but sadly they only broke the good ones with DA2 and not such like this.

People (well some trolls) seem to forget the ever loved characters from origins who have been pretty loose with the sex themselves.

Your fear is not misplaced. There is no A.I.D.s in Thedas, but there is F.A.I.D.s, it is worse!
I do not own the game but what I have seen from others playing it, and seeing some of the dialogue posted on Youtube now, she isn't very appealing to me. Blatant sex talk isn't sexy. Maybe someone thinks it's great but it actually is kind of a turnoff in the game from the parts I've seen.
