My Rogue Hawke is attacking in slow motion all the time now. I had thought at first it was due to having the Champion armor being incomplete, so I removed all Champion armor. That wasn't it. So now I have hawke dishing out one attack every 10 minutes (ok I'm exaggerating, but he's no longer fast. he's not even moving normally). Before Act 3 he was fine. Now... it's painful. So I'm playing as Merrill, whom I enjoy playing as.

edit: this only happens in battle. he still runs normally, just attacks very slowly

I'm having this problem as well. I notice it happening during the quest "night terrors" when entering the fade. Not sure why but every save that had this quest seems to the slowmo effect on hawke after entering the fade. strangely enough if I reload a save that havent already accepted the quest everything's fine.. :/

I am still in Act 1 and this has been constantly happening for me as well, makes the game nigh unplayable and if this is not fixed soon, I will be shelving the game and would be unlikely to start again. It is an amazing game and I want to keep going but this is simply unacceptable. I've seen a post about this on the PC forum and since you can alter files etc some people have found workarounds for it, but PS3 or XBOX users do not have this luxury and we need an update for this game and fast!

I am not sure but maybe it's an equipment bug, I didn't really notice but someone else said it happened exponentially after they unequipped an accessory that dropped a stat lower than the requirement for a weapon, something to look into BioWare. Also while you are looking into this, as I'm sure it's going to take a while to decipher the root cause, I would like to suggest a patch across all platforms that, at least for now, makes Hawke invulnerable to any slowdown of attack speed, I know it wouldn't be permanent but in the short term it would let people get back to playing and I don't yet see any reason why it would unbalance the difficulty in any way as I have yet to see any enemy that really uses any slowdown. Just a thought! :)

I think it started happening to me the moment I removed a weapon that increased attack speed. I'm not positive though.

Yeah I have had another theory brought to my attention. Out of curiosity are you at Friend level with Isabella and have unlocked the Thumb's Up trait?

Cause it seems it may be due to removing her from your party, it's taking away the %5 attack speed bonus but never adding it so you just keep losing it and losing it. I know for a fact that I have added and removed Isabella from my party at least a dozen times just in act 1 where i still am. I saw some people post that the same may be true of armor sets that give a bonus like Last Descent, which I have all but one piece of but will see if I can verify. If so equipping and unequipping that set could also cause problems.

well there's a PC thread for it here http://social.biowar...index/6459070/2
but as of yet I haven't seen any moderator input for consoles. I hope the information on the URL above is going to be looked at for consoles as well because unlike PC players we have no option to do quick fixes with adjusting save files etc.

Considering this glitch clearly knows no boundaries when it comes to systems, I'm sure Bioware knows that all versions of the game are suffering from it.

I'll confirm for them that I've maxed out Isabela's friendship for her buff, so if that's what causing it hope they can get it fixed soon.

Here's hoping they fix it soon, because slow Hawke really makes it unplayable on difficult settings.

We're aware that the issue is affecting all platforms and are dealing with it accordingly.

And to clarify, yes, Isabela's friendship buff is doing this. It also seems that Sebastians buff has similar consequences. With friends like that, who needs enemies? :pinched:

LOL, thanks for the reply, and glad to hear you're working on it. Any ETR? I figure not but I thought I'd ask. I'd like to get back to the game but literally can't until this is resolved lol. And I like the comment about who needs enemies, nice touch!

LOL perfect timing. Well hopefully as they said they are looking into it today it should be patched in the near future. By the Maker I hope it is done before weeks end.

So that's why! :P
And here I was experimenting with equipment, stats and tactics to see if it was something I did.

Any idea when this could get patched? Can't really be AwesomeHawk like this.

So THIS is the disease Isabela was trying to get Anders to cure her of.

Too bad i've already been infected by my saucy wench. :(

PS: An ETA would be nice, i'm considering shelving the game until it's fixed. :crying:

I stopped playing yesterday because of the glitch, and I'll either reload an older save to redo some scenes or start over again when all is fixed.

I'd love an ETA/update on the fix as well, but we're probably not going to get one. Sucks, too, because I have this week off and playing DA2 was going to be part of the highlight, heh. No matter what else I play, I just keep thinking about DA2.

Decided to stop playing till this was fixed - it came to a point(for me at least) where I wished I could swap Hawke out.

Don't mean that as anything negative towards Bioware, not going to grab a pitchfork and call for blood - just hoping they get a patch out to fix this. Really enjoyed the game so far but this is a gamebreaking issue, leaving me unable to enjoy it further.

Any information on a patch and ETA for said patch would be appriciated?

Have the same issue, I'll try to equip some accessories with +X% attack speed to see if it changes anything, it's a really annoying glitch and I can't stop playing the game as I'm totally sucked in

Wow i have to say really made the game not playable. And i dont feel like going back 11 hours to where i hadnt friended Isabela or Sebastian so im done with the game for a while it seems. Only thing i have seen work so far is to cast haste it gives you a little bit to close to your old speed maybe a little faster but thats it and it doesnt fix anything really.

So is the way to avoid this to not friend Isabela and Sebastian and not have them in your party at any time?
