So the patch is out but good news to everyone that doesn't have a pre-isabella bug save...your screwed :s Has anyone found a way to recover files that are already infected!? From what I hear the problem won't occur in new games which is great for everyone who just bought the game!! What about the people who purchased this game shortly after realese??

I ended up reverting to a save from just before i go to the deep roads. So I am going to have to redo 1.5 acts before I am to where I was on my main playthrough.

God damn, are you kidding? I have to replay through a crapload of stuff to get where I am now? It doesn't remove the erroneous attack speed bug that is CURRENT, you have to go BACK to pre-bug saves? D:

I'm obviously not ranting loud enough or perhaps it's my accent.

But seriously though, as others have mentioned when titles like LA Noir, Brink, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, New Vegas DLC X3, Arkham City, (Mass Effect 3 can now wait now that shy me has been bitten by bugs), the girlfriend dumping Deus Ex 3 and the crotch hardening Skyrim whos really going to go back to "Dragon Aids" if these "patches" take any longer?

Incidentally that's ONE BLOODY MONTH and ONE BLOODY WEEK.

good thing I stopped I beat my 3rd playthrough a month or so ago. I ended up getting sidetracked with too many other things. Now I can start a new game and not have to worry!

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yeah, I really hope the retro fix for this goes to cert first and foremost, alone if necessary, to fix this problem.

I am confused. I had just sttarted a game - still in Act 1 and the patch came out. I had been using Isabella. I would save all games with Isobella in my party (outside areas only and during the day as I was told that this approach would enable me to avoid the bug). I kept checking my abilities to make sure the thumbs up Isablla icon was not appearing along side dog(again, I was told this was a sign that I had the bug).
I did the deep roads without Isabella (to make Bethnay a warden) and did not save again until act two - again outside with Isabella in my party. I did some flirting with her and now I have her thumbs up icon along side dog in my abilities screen.
Does this mean I now have the bug? I can redo the deep roads with her but I would prefer not to..
Also, I thought this new patch did not fix the bug, but some people seem to indicate that it does...
Any help would be appreciated!

It was fixed duckley, as far as I'm concerned. The icon might appear on the Ability screen, but the bug is already gone.

I'm glad that they fixed the issue of Hawke's attack speed, but the problem is that Hakwe still attacks slow, I hope they fix the issue with Hawke's "current" attack speed. Actually I wouldn't mind if they were to restart his/her attack speed (e.g. He's/She's using enchanted equipment/runes and other ways that effect attack speed, think, don't you think it's better to have Hawke's attack speed set to normal ( by a possible patch for all systems) than having one that attacks so long it's like the Matrix...well in real time.

They said they are currently working to make the Slow Mo bug retroactive on current saves during the next patch. Honestly I hope they send this one fix to cert even before the next patch as I can definitely see it as priority #1. They could even just add a potion in The Black Emporium that resets your attack speed for those of us affected as a quick fix in the meantime that would be nice! :)

Well that's nice to hear, it's kind of a pain to attack mad slow for Hawke. :pinched:

You should suggest this in the
Title Update 1.02 - Planning and Prioritization
in the PS3 Tech Self Help
http://social.biowar...2/index/7132758

section of this forum.  I think it's a good idea and shouldn't be hard for Bioware to do since it's not as a patch as much as DLC idea

Did they fix it yet? I know fixing these types of things aren't easy to fix but come on Bioware. It's been practically a month. Can we have some some news on your progress at least? Please?

So I install the update... I go back to my oldest save... I keep playing... And things start getting slower... and slower... and slower... I retract my former defense of Bioware. Please give us an update on a retroactive fix ETA. By the way, when you fix a bug, part of the job of fixing that bug is dealing with the side effects created by that bug. I'm sure you were rushed or whatever but I don't have 20 hours to re-play this game.

I completely stopped caring about Bioware oh, several weeks ago.

The free Mass Effect 2 for PC was a great offer... only I already had Mass Effect 2 (From Steam), so that gave me nothing. It was a nice gesture though.

PSN has been down for 2 weeks, supposedly up today. I'll put in DA2 and see if there isn't a patch. I made sure to make 2 saves (amongst many others, of course) where one was right before the bug popped up, and one right after. Hopefully the patch fixes it, and I can continue on my gaming.

If not, then I'll put it down again.

Hey luke... is there a retroactive isabella stat fix in the next update? I'd love to finish the game, but don't have time to play it again start to finish.

yes, but that patch probably wont be for a few weeks

In case you're not following the 1.02 thread.

I too am frustrated. I still haven't finished my second playthrough because of this bug.

I started a third with a warrior (first was mage) but got toward the end of act 1 and honestly just want to finish my rogue playthrough first before my third one.
