But if you use the Maker's sigh after removing them manually or leaving your house (without them) then your savedata will be clean and the next time you load the buff wont be there.
But i warn you, if you do it by leaving the house you will get a -5% of the buff.
But a -5% is better than leaving the bug there (it gave me -50% till i noticed something was wrong....) destroying your main slowly.
Anyway if you do what i said your savedata wont get bugged, just avoid going with Isabella/Sebastian to your house or using them in quests that they get removed from your party by the game.

I just did some testing and the trick to stop the bug and clean your savedata only works with Sebastian's buff, so its up to you guys if you want to take the risk of being friendly with Isabella.
I think somewhere in the PC forums a guy said that another way to avoid the bug is by always saving with Isabella/Sebastian in the party, and always loading with them in it too (once the buff is unlocked ofcourse).

Which isn't to say I don't acknowledge the hours and work that people put into it discovering and testing them! Kudos for that, many kudos!
Just think that we shouldn't have to do so - shouldn't have to work around a problem that needs fixing. For me, personally, takes away from the fun of simply RPing. To just play the game without having to check if I'm taking the right steps to avoid a problem.
Wish Bioware would at least inform us - be it on progress, timetable or anything related to fixing this and some of the other bugs. But as with a lot of other things in life; don't always get what you wish for.

Im not going to wait till Biofail do something, it will take them months probably.
Now i just hope that all i learned will help me to totally avoid this bug with my mage.
On top of that EA has the balls to ban people that moans abaut the broken games they release.
They could use all the time they waste trying to cover how much they fail in making a patch quickly.

- Always save and reload with her in the party?
- Always remove her before going home?

So the way to work around this (If you want to get friendly with Izzy) is:
- Always remove her before going home?
just that really
Bottom Line: you need to make sure that she is not in your party anytime the game forcibly removes her from it
case in point: if you need to go home, go to merill's house/docks/fenris' place.. ANY PLACE where you can "Gather Your Party" and simply replace Isabella with anyone else
that way when you go home the game doesn't forcibly remove her from your group and you suffer the -5% haste debuff that stacks
so yeah... the only times i can think of that it's mandatory to do this
-whenever you go home
-Qunari compound
it's 1 extra step, manually changing your group not to include Isabella, but still better than all the other horror stories people have

Thanks for the clarification! Does this process also work for the Sebastian friendship bug?

I don't really know.. I don't play with Sebastian though I do have him
but yeah.. as for the save/load issue i think people just muddle the actual bug too much just be sure you save in a "safe spot" aka not in your house with the bug affecting you...
i try to keep it simple for myself and basically the bug affects you when the game forcibly removes Isa from your group.. and I can only think of 2 places this applies to: Qunari compound and your home.. so to be safe, simply remove her from your group before visiting these places

In short, for the second run through do you need to use a completed save?
As an aside I think posters here are actually being far too amiable and civil.
The current state of affairs is nothing short of shoddy.
If this happened to a meal you ordered in a restaurant you wouldn't stand for it at all.
I may have missed it but I've seen no to very thin Bioware placations or courtesies.
Their games I've played I've loved but they should be falling over themselves to apologise, this is not even close to resembling professionalism.
There are many other jobs were you'd be fired for a similar performance.
Not necessarily the problem but the handling of it.
By this weeks end if there's no solid word on a ps3 patch I'm off for my refund.
Sure I'm just a pion with my measly 40 quid but hey that's how you vote in this industry.
I'm no firebrand and you can ban me if you wish.
I would like to thank all the helpful posters.

Yh i was really mad because of this bug (wasted 60 hours too....) and still some people had the balls to defend bioware and call me a nerd/baby for ranting abaut something that's broken.
We should get our money back... they should punish the gaming companies that do stuff like this.
@ Cloud, there's no way to check it in PS3 since Bioware were too lazy to add the option to check that stat.

truthfully i had no problems with the other bugs and glitches which plague this game. freezing, bugged quests, glitchy enemies, i can live with them for abit. but impending doom bugs like this, which slowly kills your character, is not something i can live with.
c'mon bioware, at least give us a date/eta for the patch for cryin out loud.

Party was Hawke, Anders, Sebastian, Fenris.
The tech support guy I chatted with an hour ago was very nice but didn't have any answers. Here's the response: "At this time I'm afraid the cause of this is unknown. I have
forwarded this along
to our technical support department as well as the development team for
further research. Unfortunately I cannot estimate a date when this issue
may be resolved at this time. I thank you for your patience while we
look into this further."
Forwarded to tech support...yet I selected tech support for chat? I just hope somebody's working on it.

Everyone who got the game show trust in bioware but this is too much. Patience runs out. I don't have much time to play and now i can't resume one of my most anticipated game. I got the signature edition, i was starting to really enjoy the game but here come bugs again....
Dun wanna play DAII until they fix this absurd glitch. dun wanna hear about it either.
Wake me up when Bioware will show more respect to gamers.

truthfully, Bioware probably doesn't even know how to fix this GAMEBREAKING bug
thankfully, my Hawke's attack speed isn't molasses.. it's noticeably slower but not unplayable like others are going thru
my fix is simple... i simply threw Isa away from my group
all in all, Bioware's QA sucks horribly ****ing bad to let a bug this massive slip thru production
either patch it (which i don' think they ****ing know how to), make the next DLC free (appease your customers cuz frankly this is ****ing retarded) *or* offer us a refund (no ****ing chance in hell)
whatever they do, they better do it soon but realistically speaking they're so ****ing incompetent right now i don't think they even know how to ****ing fix this massive ****ing gamebreaking bug
**** you bioware **** you ea **** this **** your QA ****ing sucks
