@ CharliePrince

Throwing F-bombs is not going to accomplish anything. Bioware, or more appropriately EA since they pull the strings, is certianly at fault for all of this.

But do you really think anyone is going to take you or anyone seriously if you are childishly throwing F-bombs and the like about?

Your feelings are genuine, as are everyone elses, but seriously...grow up and come to this situation like an adult. Put your feelings down in an orderly fashion and present them logically instead of taking a nerd rage dump.

No Bioware representative will ever respond to that kind of attitude...obviously since they already deleted your nice little rant thread moments ago.

Seriously, people. We're all pissed, but acting like brats won't solve anything or make this end any faster. It will get done when it gets done, and we have to deal with it.

But then nothing we do is going to accomplish anything.
Charley Prince's indignation is righteous, and his expletitive ladden post was actually, if you check, preceeded by series of calm and constructed posts.
Note his gradual progression/degeneration as the silent days pass.

Alll the artificial civility here didn't even warrant or mitigate a respectful reply from anyone in the know anywhere (Possible hyperbole) in this PS3 forum.

So cuss away cousin atleast you get to cathart and save your self righteous Ghandi facade and mock maturity for something else.

The Brat stays in the picture.

truthfully, Bioware probably doesn't even know how to fix this GAMEBREAKING bug

They also said they know what's causing it.

my fix is simple... i simply threw Isa away from my group :(

I know, it sucks. I miss my haughty pirate wench :(
Especially because she was set up as my designated lock-picker. Ugh.

all in all, Bioware's QA sucks horribly ****ing bad to let a bug this massive slip thru production

Someone's kicking themselves in the ass over this one, i'm sure.

*rage*

There there. There there. ;)

I jumped on to check if there has been any news about a patch and all I see is RAGE! I'm going to have to side with my man Roas on this one in saying I hope those of us who had pre-ordered with our hard earned money get some free content. Image IPB Oh and Bio-Ware legal, please start on getting the patch cleared by sony to save the headache of more "RAGE!" filled post.

I have a question: If I befriended Isabella but then never ever use her in my party will the glitch still decrease my speed?

not sure if you can avoid that. i suggest you to check Hawke's abilities window every time you load a save file.
the isabela passive buff shouldn't be listed.

Bioware's working on a patch. ETA is "not this week".

Several people had rage induced aneurysms.

And the UN blew stuff up in Lybia.

Damn! I blame the monkeys.

But of course. can't go on one thread without finding someone who rages. gotta love it. Image IPB

Gah don't remind me. Obama bypassed Congress and just went ahead with a bombing. He wants a bloodbath to ensue. People call Bush a bad president, but given what he had to deal with, he was an ok president. Obama.... isn't even an American citizen and he's destroying us from within.

But I don't know if we should talk about politics on here Image IPB

Meh why not. It's my thread and we need something to pass the time until the patch is rescued from those infernal monkeys.

Well then I'll rise to the bait.

Besides a half arsed attempt into Somalia, the first wave US involvement in Libya might be the only decent intervention your country has pulled since WW2.
(P.S I'd need to check the extent if any of US involvement in Bosnia).
Sure it's for Libian oil, but that's the way the world works but atleast this time you guys are actually doing it legally and are actually helping people this time.

If the west had done this sort of thing years ago (Arming the Afghani's/Taliban against the Russians doesn't count because you/we didn't finish the job and left the country in the hands of the crazies and did it so secretly that even the crazies themselves forgot to thank you) there wouldn't be any Al Queda or any of the sad repercussions.

Unarmed to very poorly armed, largely secular people being murdered with UK/US sold weapons because they desire western style democracy (themselves) and initially through peaceful means...Yeah it's no wonder you're trying to leave already.
It's also worth pointing out that most of these dictator scumbags being overthrown were all supported/endorsed by the west. More pitiful short term thinking in the foreign policy front.
One of the few times I'm proud of us British (Even opposing political parties are practically in agreement) for spearheading a UN resolution.
Still Mugabe, Burma, Ivory Coast, Somalia I wish the UN would keep rolling.
It takes a special person to see that as completely bad.
You gjys should be proud! You'realmost living up to the rhetoric.

Fix the damn bugs already.

If you are friends with Isabella you can still get the bug in some cutscenes if you speak with her when she's not in your party.
Im in act 3 with my Mage and i was able to avoid Sebastian/Isabella's bug this time.
The only place you really have to take care is at the end of act 2 in lowtown when you are going to get the relic.
Dont take Isabella with you, the Qunari's that are wating outside wont attack you and you will avoid the bug.

I feel that when the patch comes, it's gonna be of epic proportion.

I also feel that we won't be getting a patch until after The Arrival DLC drops for Mass Effect 2.

Obama has been pulling us out of one war to throw us into another, and he hasn't done anything legally. Even if the UN said that's what he should do, he still has to get the U.S. Congress to authorize it.

The UN is nothing more than an ideal of peace that will never come to fruition, so everyone there either sits on their asses or makes things worse.

I don't know I haven't really read too much about it. But our economy is in the ****ter right now, and going into more war doesn't seem like it will help. And what's worse, we're bombing hospitals (3 so far to be exact) in an effort to "save the civilians". I realize civilian casualties are always expected, but you should be going out of your way to making that as minimal a death toll as possible.

We're also arming people when the UN Security Council said no weapons would be sent to Libya.

We're not helping. We've declared a massacre in the name of freedom and salvation.

I hate America myself. Not in the "I want to blow America up" kinda way, but because we're corrupt and most of our citizens are complete dumbasses/douches. We have so many stupid people that it outweighs the actually intellectual people, so now America is just seen as the land of the obese and home of the stupid.

The sad thing and it feels counterintuitive but Wars can actually be quite good for the economy.
By the end of the Iraq conflict for every 1 US soldier there were 9 or 10 PMC employees.
And a fortune was made, I believe that the Iraq war was the most profitable US war so far. Corrupt and nefarious reasons don't always stop something from being a right decision.
"Good" can still be done.

Civilian casualties aside (There really is no such thing as precision bombing) you/we have saved more lives than killed.
French planes have stopped an actual massacre from happening in Benghazi.
Sure the UN is almost designed not to work with all that vito nonsense, so it's even more impressive that they got a resolution, no matter how vague, together.
The democratic widespread arab revolt across Syria, Bahrain, Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Iran etc are the biggest political event since 9/11.
This is history in making.

The War Economy. Metal Gear Solid comes to fruition. Funny, I didn't think that would actually pull through and work.

the definition of "good" though has as much to define it by as what makes an RPG a "true" RPG (not the best comparison, but I think the point is clear). So what they/you might call good can just as well be called bad by another person. And that's the sad truth. What is good and what is bad?

Precision bombing doesn't exist yes, but there is no excuse for blowing up 3 hospitals when it was clear from intel that they were in fact hospitals. A doctor is a neutral person in a war. They serve neither side, only the wounded. Like in an episode of M.A.S.H where the 4077th treated a North Korean.

good to know the french have finally won at something (just kidding if there are any french people here. I'm a tad french myself).

I agree that history is being made here. Whether it's history to be proud of remains to be seen.

Kojima. is. Jesus. (or as I call him, Jebus)

By the way everyone, science has confirmed that somewhere between May 11, 2011 and May 21, 2011 is the second coming of Christ. Science has confirmed it, so it must be true!

I don't believe it though.

you don't HAVE to shelve it or sell it. There are a few workarounds to it.

1) Always remove Isabella on your own, do not let the game force remove her (like going to the Hawke Estate). The forced removal I think is what triggers the bug
2) equip any items that increase attack speed, or use the spell Haste and any modes that boost attack speed.
3) Sandal gives you a special rune that increases attack speed if you keep the lyrium shard from Varric's Act 3 quest. Equip that on a weapon and you get about +30% attack speed.
4) never use Isabella or Sebastian (I know I know. no isabella = Image IPB)

Until the patch is made, this is the best I can offer, and even these bring your attack speed either back to normal or above normal

Well Eisenhower really.
Who's last adress to the American people was a warning against the post WW2 "Standing" army.
He coined the Military Industrial Complex.
Sadly now it's the Military Industrial Congressional Complex.
US presidents used to do great things!

A Libian No Fly Zone is a good thing.
You may have stopped another Rwanda.

On a Dragon Age note that patch is probably going to be so gargantuan they might as well call it DLC and release it on a Blu Ray...
I agree that sadly Mass Effect The Arrival is going to be more important to them.

I've been monitoring this situation in both this thread (Where I own the game on PS3) as well as the one over in the PC forum.

Quite pathetic how slow they are going about fixing this problem. Hardly any updates, unless you consider one person popping in once a week to address one short sentence as 'update'.

I normally never get games on release date, with Black Ops being my single mid-night release.

But a bug of this magnitude is just inexcusable. Not only should this have not been a problem when it was shipped out, but to take so long to fix it?

Clearly a rushed product (Oh yeah, Bioware. I noticed how the 5 different caves and warehouses in different locations all have the exact same identical layouts to one another). I'm a huge Bioware supporter, own ME, ME2, DA:O all on PC with DA:2 on PS3, but the lack of updates and any sort of patch is pathetic. I picked up my preorder the day it came out, putting several hours into it the first few days... then when I noticed the slow bug threads pop up, I immediately dropped the game.

I've since returned to playing it yesterday, and I've been careful with Isabella's friendship. I DO plan on having her friendship instead of rivalry, and as a customer I expect this to be fixed in a timely manner.

I'm not sure Bioware knows what customer service is, but they could certainly take a lesson in doing so.

I'll continue to play the game right now, saving constantly up until right before I hit Isabella's friendship. At that point, I'll put the game on the shelf... again.

At least Bioware got one thing right: They have some brilliant marketing advisers. All the bonus content, purchase before Jan 11th for Sebastian DLC along with items provoked me to pre-order a game when I hardly ever preorder. Then again, I loved DA:O so much I probably would have done it anyway. Just disappointing that this overall great game is held back by one major bug. I'm willing to overlook the 'copy and paste' layouts that each and every area has to look identical, for the overall gameplay, story, etc. is great, but when a bug is large enough to prevent me from playing, then there is a problem.

Sorry for such a long post, but this has been building up, and I guess I just let loose right now.

The thing is, if you HAVE triggered the bug, forget about it. Removing Isabella, being vigilant as to who is in the party, etc., does not undo on the cumulative debilitating stacking effect.

I've unequipped, re-equipped, removed both Isabella and Sebastian from the party (shelving them indefinitely, which sucks), saved elsewhere with only with other party members, made sure never to take Isabella and Sebastian to the house...and Hawke is so slow that he can't even *drink a health potion* before enemy attacks disrupt him.
