The rational and sane people get drowned out in the general forum by those who just like to create the same hate threads repeatedly. Between that, the PC/console wars, and the people who hate DA2 simply because it isn't Origins, it's a frightening place to be. Criticism of the game is certainly valid (I have my criticisms), but calling people names or overreacting by saying that the game is a sign of the apolcalypse will get people nowhere.

There are a few good threads if you can sift out the spam and irrational love/hate threads, though.

Unfortunately the good threads get intruded upon by both sides. I like how both sides imply call the other idiots but go all out on the reasonable people.

We're reasonable, beware!

Origins was better and DA2 should have been just an expansion for Origins it was not deep enough, or Epic enough to be anything else. My full review is in my Blog , link is in my sig for anyone interested.

I have no opinion on the DA 2 forum since I've never been in there.

It's no different from when Mass Effect 2 released.

A lot of lauding, a lot of whining. Typical nerd praise, typical nerd rage. But, these forums also allowed some twisted, irrational people to post.

I will admit, I was largely negative about DA2 after the demo and playing retail game first day.  Lots changed.  After finishing the game though I have changed my opinion.  I actually enjoyed it alot.  Yes, you can throw the eggs at me now.

In the end I thought it was a good successor to DA Origins.  The main things I would like to have changed would be to slow it down some to make the animation actually smoother and more playable and remove the exploding bodies on criticals.

While I love inventory management and missed that the most in Mass Effect 2, I think the way companion equipement was handled worked, and you still have full control over your main character.

The issue with only being able to play human is actually needed to tell the story of a noble from a human city.  Elves and Dwarves wouldnt have been noble there.

So I must retract my hate I hate at first and say I enjoyed it a lot more than ME2.

Slow it down and I would have been very pleased with it in the end.

I completely agree, what is with all the Dragon Age 2 hate? I guess Dragon Age Origins was the perfect game, any changes can only be making it worse.

I always play bioware games for the great stories, characters, and dialogue, DA2 still has all of that so why do people really care that its presented differently? It still has all that other great stuff like fantastic writing and voice acting.

It definitely wasn't up to the level of DA:O in my opinion, but it wasn't a bad game either.

Just mediocre. When people are expecting masterpiece, mediocre leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
