I've been having a tonne of fun with Reaver. Huge damage bonuses and amazing passives. The best part is, upgrading the abilities is totally optional, unlike other webs where upgrading abilities is required for them to be viable later in the game.

So what spec do you guys think goes best with Reaver? Berserk seems to put reaver "over the edge" when it comes to damage. It's barrage ability is +50% attack speed while Reaver's Fervor is +50% attack speed on enemy death. And, of course, Adrenaline is just more damage.

Templar might also be a good complement due to the number of mages you face. Being able to silence them is great and that +50% magic resistance is pretty impressive. Sow wich spec do you guys think goes best with Reaver? Berserk to go for a damage dealing maniac of Templar to add more ultility?

I've tried both and I think it comes down to whether you want to be able to kill the enemy faster or keep them from casting spells.

Well, know one is answering but I thought I would post my findings anyway.

While I had thought that stacking the attack speeds bonusus of Reaver and Berserk would lead to godly damage, it turns out that all that increased attack speed drains your stamina super fast if you intend to keep Berserk on.

I've been rocking a 2h/reaver/zerker Hawke as my tank, went down battle master for stamina stuff and second wind. I've done a few fights with my party on hold for fun and just tear through everything. I'm not too fond of the templar tree since it's mage specific and most regular mages I come across die almost instantly.

I believe that the Templar abilities are not, in fact mage specific. Silence works on enemy "abilities" not just magic and do does righteous strike, I believe.

Also, how fast is instantly and what difficulty? I was playing on hard and most mages that have large health bars take more than a few hits to bring down. Although if I have 50% health and cleave on then it's 1 Might Blow.

Would you mind posting your battle plan? Like the way you use ur abilities. I turned on Berserk with sacrificial frenzy and cleave, and barrage but the fast attack speed meant that when I was fighting lieutenants, my stamina would go down really fast.
