I heard some people mentioning that there was a mod out there that allowed for Bethany to survive with the Mage Hawke. I cannot seem to find it under the projects and was wondering if someone could point the way....if this was pure fiction someone please make this mod pronto!

I'd be a fan of any mod or edit that let me have Bethany in my party for the whole game. I kinda like the character.

I imagine there may be serious problems/issues with a lack of party banter options and what if she's in your party in Act III when she shows up as part of the plot.

There is a save game editor, which you run right before you encounter the ogre that kills your brother/sister. It changes your class by name only, and then you run it again after the ogre event to change back. The thing is, it is really buggy (said the comments on the page.)

If you want to try it, it's called Sophie's Choice - or something like that - on Dragon Age Nexus.

I found it but now cannot get it to work. It has a .z extension and no read me with it explaining how to use it.

Small correction. It has a .7z extension, which is a 7-Zip archive. WinRAR and 7Zip can open these, there's a .exe in the archive.

You have to run the exe, and select a save ( pre troll ). Switch to warrior or rogue. Kill troll, travel to kirkwal. Save. Run exe again, and select kirkwal save. Switch back to mage.

You now have Bethany, as Mage Hawke. Apparently, some dialog will be a bit weird for you later on. I didn't use this past verifying it works. I fully enjoy Rogue Hawke.

I just used the console command, but i doubt any of you care considering this thread is over a year old.
