.... leaves me with the impression that either an expansion or a sequel (my guess is an xpac) will have you playing as your champion with the hero of ferelden as a companion (if you chose to import a save wherein the hero survived, or possibly not, considering they inexplicably brought the hero of ferelden back from the dead when you import your save to awakening** more on that later). Which is awesome, I'd love to see more of that kind of stuff, have a character you played as play a character you play with so you can see what kind of person they become from the outside. also the notion of seeing what your character sounds like (and looks like with the new art style and graphics) sounds friggin cool.

*as a side note I was really pretty disappointed that they yet again decided to restrict a character's play to one playthrough. The fact that you cannot play more than once is most likely because they want people who play the entire game through on nightmare to feel like they accomplished something. personally I feel that it makes me not want to play it because I'd muc rather feel like a badass the whole time I'm playing through nightmare and have every ability I have available at the level cap at my disposal. Nightmare feels like something that should be reserved for a second playthrough. **And with their decision to allow you to resurrect a hero you killed without saying word one as to how i happened also speaks to allowing people to have multiple playthroughs. If people want to play with their character after the game, they cannot unless more dlc comes out. After beating the game for the first time I considered (briefly) deleting the character because I love playing as Red Hawke (yes it sounds corny, but I meant "red" as a nickname, which seemed to fit the sort of vigilante that I was creating). All that being said, I doubt very much they would add this in a patch, they would have to scale every mob from the beginning of the game to be nightmare difficult, which  would be difficult. What I do hope for, however is that they do what the mass effect 2 team did. After completing the game you have a choice to leave the game as it is and keep playing from after youve killed the final boss, or import your game and begin anew with all your experiences intact. This, I think would have more people coming back and playing more characters, because as it is I only see myelf finishing the game 3 times, because after that I'll just be playing the same 3 characters again.

As another side note*** I really liked the game, despite feeling it was a bit rushed in parts. Was wondering what other's thought about meeting their character from origins?

If my hero's face was as badly ruined as Alistair's I have no desire to see him in the new engine, it would only ****** me off.

Really? Alistair looked exactly the same to me as far as the model goes. He looked improved as far as aesthetics though. I dont understand how you think alistair was changed?
also I was more referencing the elves, whos model went from basicaly being a human with long ears and a more tribal tattoo to being much more elf like (especially in the eyes)

I seriously doubt the Warden is ever going to make another appearance.

Some people had their Warden do the US.

And how do they give the Warden a voice?

And how do they account for race/gender? Attributes? Skills?

Warden is gone.

US?

well they could do 1 male one female, same way they do voice actor for hawke and shep.

youre transfering a file from one game to another it wouldn be too hard to take the skills they learned and turn that into their class.

I disagree, especially if its going into an xpac.

US = Ultimate Sacrifice. The way my Warden went out. Choked me up so much I was never able to play him again; he's dead and should stay that way.

US = Ultimate Sacrifice.  Means they died.

Same actor for a Dwarf or an elf or a human?  Remember, your Warden could have been any of those.  Design armor for each?  Import our look?  Our skill trees?  My Warden was a DW warrior using swords- did he forget how to do that?  Stuck with S&S or 2H now?  Can't use a bow anymore?  Will Merrill know my Dalish Elf Warden?

Too many changes, IMO, to make this work.  Too many "ifs" to make this work.  Too many dead Wardens to make this work.

The Champion served her purpose. I think she'd be better off dead after DA2.

The voice issue would be a sticking point if they kept with the voiced PC approach. Considering how Zevran/Leliana deaths seem to have been handwaved, they coould likely do the same if given reason.

Or they could have a returning Warden be the Orlesian.

And as for the race, stats, specs, face morph info- that stuff actually does transfer over. But considering how horrible some like Alistair or Teagan looked, if the Warden were to appear I'd hope they allowed for character creation again.

Yes, but a lot of people - me included - never played as an Orlesian Warden.  So a "returning" Orlesian Warden doesn't exist for me.

Could they find some way to do it?  Yes, I'm sure they could, handwaving-a-plenty.  But you know what?  I'd despise it.  And I think a lot of people would agree.

What do I want for my warden? Well, he is somewhere far, far away with Morrigan. The only thing I´d really love to see is Morrigan in tears finishing him of after the blight is taking him out. And a smile on his face like telling her "I´ll be back, if Flemeth can cheat, you cannot imagine what I can do".

Next? The soul of the warden is reborn in who knows what... :)

Flemeth is all powerful, she can raise raise the dead.

Well there where voices in the DA:O engine, when you fought he said stuff, they can get those voice actors or all new voice actors for the Warden(s).  10 editional Voice Actors, or half that if they use other established Voice Actors, they can alter thier voices to degree's you know, reason they are what they are.

Really? You can't figure that one out.

Warden ain't gone, till Bioware says otherwise, He/she is around somewhere.

Eh, the fact that the warden might be dead means that he/she can't ever be a main character in a future game or expansion. However, barring that, they'd need at least 6 voice actors, which would be horrendously expensive. Dwarves have american accents, humans british, and elves... Just sound weird.

You don't, actually.

You run into 2 Wardens during the Qunari attack at the end of Act 2.  If your Origins ending had Alistair remaining a Grey Warden, rather then becoming King or going off as a drunk, the one who speaks is him.  Otherwise, you get two random Grey Wardens.

Either way, one is silent and keeps their helmet on the entire time.  Possibly meant to represent your Warden, though I'm not sure on that.

No, you never see the Warden you played as in DA2. The Warden/Hero of Ferelden is only mentioned in conversation.

This can easily be fixed by having the player enter the Character Creator so you can remake your Warden with the new engine right before you encounter him.

Ok thanks
Another question though, I had heard somewhere that if your sibling joins thr grey wardens that they are mentored or taught by your warden and alistair, any truth to that? Or do they talk about meeting alistair and the warden?

May be a little off topic but did anyone else get the sense from talking to a few NPCs, the only one who comes to mind right now is Bodahn, that the next game will take place in Orlais?

Would bet buckets of dollars that the Warden does not return in future products. Probably not Hawke either. I think they're going for an overarching story with different playable character each time.

Your Warden will not return because:

a) He/she can be dead.
B) They won't go back on the voiced protagonist, and a voiced Warden just will not work (not to mention they'd probably need to record at least 6 different voices - one for each race/sex)

Then why would Leliana say the warden is missing if hes dead?Bug? Or is it the work of Biowares VIP Magic Wand that brought even Leliana back from the dead if u killed her in DAO?:wizard:
