Who wanted to throw them off the nearest cliff or feed the lot of them mother and sister and brother to the troll at the beginning in retrospect.

Bethany always comes across as moaning and stuck up the brother arrogant and annoying and the mother moppey and depressing...

Or is it just me. Posted Image

It's just you, to be honest I couldn't give a damn about Bethany and Carver, but the Mother quest hit me a bit.

I am the complete opposite. I loved the entire family, which is why it hit me quite hard when I lost them.

Just you. I liked Bethany and was really sad when she died. Same for Leandra.

I just want Carver to go away and never come back.

To tell you the truth the mother quest made me sick and angry because that blood mage/ necromacner was a sicko

for the life of me i cant take bethany to the deep roads because i think she is happier in the circle than being a warden. But for Carver i feel like him becoming a warden might give him some purpose and not feel so left out. Very odd.

I wanted to Leandra behind when she was blaming me for my siblings death.

Dang woman is delusional. They didn't charge in, they were standing their ground guarding her.

It's much more realistic than you think.

Mother quest shocked me.

Other than that, had a hard time feeling anything for Bethany, since she vanished into the Tower after Act 1, barely to be seen again.

Just you. I loved Leandra, Carver, and Bethany. And I hated losing them all.

Bethany's death was meaningless for me, because I had absolutely no reason to care about her. Mother is whiny and needs to move the frell on, and Carver is a complete and utter tool.

In DA3, I want the protagonist to have two living parents that she writes to every so often and visits at holidays. Just to be different.

I havent really played a game with Carver yet but Bethany doesn't bother me at all. Probably one of the more neutral/calm characters that isnt a rogue.

Same. Bethany's death in the Deep Roads took me by surprise and shook me enough that I quit playing for the day afterwards, debating whether or not to stick to my choice or start over.

While MamaHawke's death was sad as well, it was unfortunately spoiled for me before I saw it, so I knew it was coming. Posted Image

I didn't like carver too much, didn't get to know Bethany, but the mother I cared about. I understand her trying to hold onto her children after one of them dies and the other leaves, it's just what a mother would be like. It took me completely by surprise when she died. It was like losing all of your loved ones slowly, hell even sandal had to leave in the end.

Carver always seemed to have a bitter sibling rivarly with me. He deff was an anthisis for me.

I felt bad for the mother.

This. I didn't really get to know Bethany, but I'm sure she'll break my heart just as much as Leandra and Carver did once I finally play a non-mage.

I loved Carver. I just simply don't understand why so many people dislike him. I understood where he was coming from from the start and only ever felt sorry for him. I thought in spite of his sour attitude it was obvious he cared for Hawke, even at the beginning.

I loved the way he grew and how much he had changed and matured in the end. I loved him and wanted to hug him. :(<3

Carver was ungrateful, but he is living in the shadow of his brother so I can see why he's being a jerk. That being said him joining the templars made me want to light him on fire. The Leandra quest was one of the saddest and creepiest moments in any game I've played in a long time. As soon as I saw those flowers I knew it wasn't going to end well.

I absolutley love the Hawke Family except for carver. Bethany is one of my fav party members though I'm still sad that you lose them at the end of Act 1

I thought Carver was a tool at first and even got angry with him, but that's family for you. Eventually, he grew up and stood by my Hawkette at the end, so we reconciled. I even managed to get along with Gamlen eventually, so I liked having a family. What happened to Lendra was painful and well-done.

I haven't played a mage yet, so I have no experience with Carver, but Bethany was probably the worst written and voiced character in the entire game. Which is pretty unfortunate as the rest of the characters were wonderfully written(Anders and Merrill come to mind immediately).
