Supposdly, there is a noblemen's daughter that needs rescuing on the Wounded Coast, but I've been up and down and all around the coast and have found nothing, and there is no quest marker on the map.  I've completed other quests waiting for this one to start, but again nothing.  Is this a glitch or do I need to do something to trigger this quest?

i think its buged dude i searched the how thing 3 times and nothing

Did you get attacked by some guys seeking revenge when you entered the map for the first time? I think the whole Quest was a Trap for that attack and some glitch keeps it from finishing properly.

No, there's actually a bandit leader that its unselectable and impossible to attack that is believed to be linked to the quest. Its a glitch, not possible to complete.

The general consensus seems to be that this is another bugged quest. I also explored the entire area and only found qunari. This wouldn't be the first one either, the quest involving Sketch is also bugged and un-finishable.

There is also a possibility that it was a lure. Read the name of the person who gives you it in the mail message. When you first enter the you get jumped by some guy that you killed his whole gang in the previous act, the one that you help the pinned down guardsman on the wounded coast.

Yeah, same here, I searched the entire wounded coast, didn't find anyone other than Qunaris. and official guide didn't mention this quest in Act 3 side quest either.

I suspect it might be a follow up/reactive quest from an early quest, and somehow the game never let you finish.

Thank god, I'm not the only one that couldn't finish this one. I was begining to think I did something to my game when I couldn't select the bandit leader,

I don't think that side quest is even in the guide though. It may have been added late or is part of a DLC package or something.

It's not in the guide.  Now your above statement is one train of thought of why that might be.  Another is that maybe when they were playing the game and making the guide the quest was bugged for them too and they didn't bother to include it.  If that's the case how come this wasn't fixed? How can a quest just be broken for everybody?  I love Bioware to death but damn.....

Wow. I didn't see Sketch or Nathaniel. I missed a few quests I guess. This one was bugged for me, too.

You only get Nathaniel if he lived through Awakenings.  You might not have ever got the quest.
