Even more so when either Isabela or Varric said "don't buy him a drink!! Now he'll never stop!!!!"
That, and clicking him again, when he mutters "It's all Morrigan's fault".
Hilarious. And well worth sparing Loghain.

Lelianna, was...Well. It'll be interesting seeing what her role in this is. Guess that'll be in DA3.

I thought I spotted Zevran darting around in the endgame, but i wasn't sure because they made no fanfair of it. Man they could have put a little pizzazz on his entrance. Seeing Alistair was pretty cool, too. I smirked when he pulled out the "Swooping is bad" line.

Zevran and Nathanial Howe can both potentially turn up in the final fight. And both have brief cameos in quests that specifically involve tracking them down.

I imported a queen save, and looking past his botox filled dough face, the meeting was going well until he said, "time to get back to the old ball & chain". Really, writers - ball & chain? It was a chance to do something the players would have appreciated a lot, instead we get that. *eye roll*
I thought the ball and chain thing was hilarious espcially when the Bann calls him out on it and Alistair insists he's not afraid of the warden even though she killed the archdemon.

The old gang is a lie!AtreiyaN7 wrote...
Oh yeah, loved seeing King Alistair (married to my Warden queen!) and Teagan. I actually found the ball & chain reference humorous (since he used it in Awakening when visiting the wifey I think). The snarky exchange between my Hawkette & Alistair was amusing, and I enjoyed seeing the rest of the old gang as well, even Nathaniel.
I miss Sten so, so, so, so much! In many ways his involvement with the Blight put some problems on his worldview (a non-follower of the Qun doing worthy actions?). I really hope the big guy is doing well in Seheron and archived his task of delivering cookies to the Antaam.
And of course, Shale... Not having a cynic mass of rocks calling you it.

How do you get Nathaniel? I never encountered him.
I *think * you only get that quest if you let the Architect live.
Not sure, though.

So far as I know, the only confirmed element is that you don't complete a quest called "Fool's Gold" (no clue what it is). Delilah Howe shows up in Hightown during Act 3 and asks you to go track down her brother, who's part of a Grey Warden expedition that decided to backtrack where you went during your expedition.
Some of the people who completed it have mentioned that Nathanial stated that the Architect had been spared when that wasn't the case in their playthrough. Other than that, I've heard nothing to suggest that the Architect's fate ultimately determines whether or not you can get the quest.
It's a good quest to run if you can, with a few vague hints from Nathanial about things he can't really talk about. And it gives the impression that Nathanial himself is doing well and is close to his sister.

He replaces that weird Warden that sounds like Riordan if he isnt king in Origins? Interesting indeed. I will never see that scene myself as I always have him rule with that ruthless **** Anora.MrKodak89 wrote...
I looked 7 pages back and didn't see anything about it, so forgive me if I'm double posting. Due to the way my Origins game played out, I got the great benefit of seeing my favorite character and best friend from Origins, Alistair. I don't mark out in video games very of ten, but I have to admit that I did when my champion got to meet Alistair, the Warden guiding my sister Bethany. Him giving me the amulet was definitely one of the highlights of my DA2 experience, my only complaint was that we didn't really get to fight side by side. Bummer. Anybody else dig this part of the game? (If he was in your game that is)

It's bugged.
And I got King Alistair/Teagan. That scene was epic win! Also got to find out what's going on with Orlais and Ferelden. LOL And I laughed at the "ball and chain" comment and the follow up lines that ensued.
*sigh* Teagan!

The bartender makes mention that the pigeon population in Ferelden has taken a sudden nose dive. I wonder who could be behind it.Statulos wrote...

You can only encounter Nathaniel if you uploaded a Warden that recruited him and he is still alive. Its a reward cameo for uploading your Warden so to speak, you can say.

Dang it, I was about to reply and mention that, but you did it! *chuckle* Oh, and heh, Alistair's swooping is bad line with regards to the possibility of Orlais going after Ferelden again elicited a delighted giggle or two.

He came back for one night, and during the epilogue he sent Hawke a Warden by satellite saying how much he loved him.
