First of all  i'm not in anyway a fanboy or am i defending Bioware. However it's solely my own opinion that i like what i saw in DA2. I played DAO and i felt DA2 is definitely much a better game than the predecessor. I started my game playing in Hard difficulty and it seems very challenging!. Those who find the game too easy should really try Hard or Nightmare. In short here is what i have to say bout the game:

Pros:
- Game is visually beautiful.. This is really a big improvement over DAO!
- Fast paced and flashy animations. Hits/Blows from weapons and spells really have a sense of impact. The paced of combat is still same if playing the game in Hard difficulty or higher.
- Removal of helmet. This is real nice especially in conversations.
- Voiced protagonist. Both male/female Hawke voices are nicely done for the character. Currently playing as Male Hawke. Looking forward to play as FemHawke the next game. No more mute hero.. Even Sandal can say Enchantment. in first game Yay!
- Not sure if this only on hard, but enemies are more intelligent! There are stealth assasins that will backstab your highest threat characters!. Enemies now pursue Rogue and Mages than  Warrior/Tanks. Ouch!. This makes threat important in gameplay.
- Each character has their own abilities and talents!. Friendship/Rivalry just adding a fraction of small bonuses. But it's really a nice touch since characters still having bonuses whether you have their friendship or rivalry.
- Companions have their own home! A nice touch honestly.
- Each character feels unique and interesting. I like the changes of the Elven look! Although i agree it looks similar to Avatar the movie. But i really like the changes compared to DAO.
- I like the story compared to others forumers!. I like the city of Kirkwall and it's concept. It's really refreshing to me as it's not always about a sole hero saving the universe but is a story about a refugee and his/her family in struggling in a huge mysterious city and working his/her way to rise to power being the champion of Kirkwall.

So far the game looks great but i really like to see the following IMPROVEMENTS in upcoming patch/dlc or sequel:

Improvement Suggestions:
- I like to be able to zoom out or instantly change to an isometric view!. I disagree that the game is hack n slash. It's still a tactical strategy action game where careful positioning and  targeting are important in combat.
- The HAIR! Most of the characters have bad hair and really does not match the character. They need to rework on the hair model to be more stylized like Hawke's hair.
- Normal NPCs animations are awkward when they are walking and talking. Maybe it's time that Bioware should license a better game engine and to focus on creating game contents than spending time improving an old engine?
- I felt Kirkwall to be quite huge but city is empty. Take a look at Assassin's Creed 2 on how those normal NPCs animations and their daily schedule. They have circus performers and even at  night you can see fireworks. WOW!. It's so much alive compared to Kirkwall. Bioware can really improve by studying how they make AC2 a believable world and how they make the streets look natural with all the buzz and commotions.
- I felt weird when i collected some junk loot and later find out that it belongs to someone throughout the city. There's no quest for it. Obviously it seems like the game being rushed.
- Targeting issues. In some of the battles, i can't seem to target correctly if there are too many enemies clunk together. An isometric tactical view could easily solve this.
- The game need more contents. You have a big city but little things to do. Need more variety of different types of quests that may and may not relate to companions.
- Not sure if it's because of difficulty but characters deals very little damage except for using abilities or spells.
- I cant change my companions armor. I know this may due to resource issues. Make more outfits that are companion specific. Then we solve the issue of generalization where this armor can be equip by any characters hence reducing the modeling and animation.
- There is a slight problem with strategy. Often you end up that one of your character will draw aggro and need be running around where the other just spamming spells/arrows. It's funny that the sub boss running around chasing your rogue and your warrior/tank running around to chase the boss. Think of a way to fix this?

Thanks for reading!. May update for more improvements if i see fit.

And adding to that:

- The combat is unimaginative and reminiscent of MMO grinding.
- The "random" dungeons are always exact copies of previous ones. One can hardly assume every gang in the entire city hides out in two buildings.
- The quests are unimaginative.
- The graphics are an improvement, the texturework is still somewhat lesser.
- There was a lacking of conversational depth as a result of this new "hip" Mass Effect styled answering. Especially companion dialogue was lacking, and very much so unlike the hour you could spend talking to your companions in the Warden's camp.
- Actually, you pretty much made everything lesser.
