That's a DLC they could sell that I'd buy. They could call it the Romance DLC. Then people who don't want more icky romance messing up their hack n slash don't have to get it, but those of us who actually want our LI's to be in our house and things to look like they LIVE THERE with you and initiate romance at your leisure, could have it.

People could laugh at others for spending money on it, but I totally would to have an immersive game world. Maybe we can petition for it?

I would pay for it.Image IPB

Oh there's sex. It's just you can't request your fade-to-black sexy-time anymore from your companion. It happens though, just romance Isabella and you'll see a feisty sex scene. That's the companion I wound up romancing on my warrior version of Hawke. The hero who makes the bad girl fall in love with him.

Ok, that's just lazy as hell.  Isabela is the only LI that gets an actual sex scene?  At least Anders and Fenris don't.  Both of them kiss, lay Hawke on the bed, and fade to black.  Oh Fenris does get one scene where he's up and dressed in his armor, Hawke is on the bed in underwear, and he's all broody and heading out.

I don't understand the desire to cuddle in a video game. It's one thing to see your character grow, but to just watch it lie there...?

I don't think people necessarily mean a precise "Cuddle" option, but as it is, in the Fenris romance, I have to go visit his house if I want to see him... and then he stands there. And does nothing. I can't even kiss my love hello. It's kinda sad, really. He wears a red cloth around his wrist and my crest on his belt and I can't even give the man a chaste kiss? I think that's what is really annoying people. At least in my case.

I was disappointed with the romances scenes, I like how in DA:O you could talk to Morrigan and give her a kiss and atleast you got you see them in their medieval undies while they were doing it I expected more with Isabela.

I'm going to go ahead and agree with this.  Although I enjoyed the companions overall, there's certainly room for more affection between loved ones.  The most interesting and heartfelt moments for me came from interactions with Aveline and Varric.  Neither was an LI, but I felt closer to them than any other characters.  Maybe just a couple more conversations here and there?  I didn't really mind the fact that companions just stand around when they are at home, but... hell, I don't know if I'm even qualified to be talking about this.  The only person I romanced was Isabela and I handed her over to the Arishok...  I don't know the full extent of the romances, but hers was quite shallow.

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree that the fully clothed make-out scenes were a bit absurd when you take into account the grotesque nature of some of the quests (the Killer) and the endless blood explosions. Whatever. It's common knowledge that graphic violence is far more acceptable than sex, but honestly Bioware, next time don't add in something like that idiotic Lily Killer quest just to earn your M rating. This topic wasn't really about that quest, but I can't help but feel kind of angry that that kind of trash is acceptable when a shirtless man or woman is not.

Yeah, the Killer quest made me almost throw up. It was worse because I thought, at first, that my father had come back due to the picture that looked like my mother and then... bam. Right to the gut.

But the sex scenes are worse in DA2, which were worse than DAO, which were worse than ME2, which were worse than ME1. Just getting worse and worse, lol.

I'd rather have the fully-clothed fade-to-black than the WalMart undie simulations. I wouldn't mind if the fully clothed session was followed by more... intimate... content. My DA:O installation includes Improved Romance Scenes: Alistair, and let me tell you, it's some of the best, most tender, most sensitively handled "together time" ever depicted. Plus, the mod enhances flirting options! Unfortunately, that won't happen for DA2 unless there's a toolset or a DA:O toolset upgrade to make it possible.

I don't expect that nudity will ever be introduced into a game, though, except as an add-on.

I have to agree, after everything poor Hawke went through a bit of cuddle time would be appreciated. :'( At least your LI comes to see you after the Lily Killer quest which was unexpected, usually BioWare doesn't give any chance for sympathy for the protagonist in their games. Speaking of that quest, I think I will be slightly traumatised by that for a couple of weeks... That was just CRUEL.

Also I was rather disappointed in not getting to see Anders shirtless. C'mon, they made such a nice male body in the game, might as well use it. Also, Fenris tattoos. Need to know where they begin and where they end. For science.

Hah, Sefferz. You're right about a nice male body in the game. At first I was like, "I don't like the changes to the Qunari!" then I looked at their bodies... and they have very, very nice bodies. I'd have loved to see Fenris shirtless or Anders shirtless... Though, that said, Fenris's tattoos might not cover his chest. He tells Varric at one point that they show through any clothing. I guess he's glad they didn't go as far as Zev's, huh? ;)

Hahahah indeed. A glowing control rod would slightly diminish his credibility as a grumpy lyrium mercenary.
