I played the game and did everything to get Fenris to like me but after doing everyone's companion quest on Act 2, I end up with Anders instead. So I checked the Dragon Age wiki on where did I go wrong.

I've seen everyone had a romance with Fenris after giving him a gift, done the 'Bitter Pill' quest and you'll get a cutscene of them plastered on each other after female Hawke asked him not 'to go' when he visited her house, which indicates the start of their romance. I've done all of that (the gift, the quest) but when I asked him not to go, he just left and said something like "It's better for both of us if I just go" .

Our friendship bar are at 'friends', or do you need to be his rival to get the romance scene?

No matter what you say or do, he leaves at the end of that scene. Talk to him at the beginning of Act III, and the romance will continue(Unless, as you've stated, you go with Anders instead).

Hmm, you're probably talking about the scene in Hawke's bedroom isn't it? I'm not able to reach the kissing part. I watched in Youtube that when Hawke told him not to go, there's this scene where Fenris pushed her on the wall and then the romance begun. But in my game, he didn't pursue her, instead he just left the building and Hawke stood there doing nothing.

Did you leave the house and come back?

Which house?

Sorry if my description is a bit confusing. Let me try again.

After we finish the 'Bitter Pill' quest, I went to my house and saw Fenris already waited for me. We talked and then Fenris told me that he has to leave. I told him that he 'doesn't need to go'.

The weird thing is, when other people clicked this dialog option, the romantic cutscene will appear. But in my game, he just leave me.

I think someone else had this problem - not sure. Leave your mansion after he leaves you and re-enter and tell me if anything happens.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure then :( Have you been clicking all possible flirtations, like the one where he tells you he's never been with anyone before?

I don't have that either :(
When he said 'perhaps this is how it feels lke to have a friend', there is no flirt option present.

I hope someone can help fix this sooner or later, I'm such a big Fenris fangirl x)

Did you flirt with Anders? Maybe the game thinks your Hawke is in a relationship with him, so it won't let you flirt with Fenris anymore. I don't know when exactly it locks you out of starting a relationship with others.

Maybe that's possible. I do flirt with Anders, altough we haven't start a relationship yet (a.k.a done Anders' quest) when I finish Bitter Pill.

Flirting with Anders is probably the reason why your game won't let you progress with Fenris, it can get a bit odd with 'Hawke is romancing so-and-so' tags. In my game, my Hawke was romancing Anders until he... uh, "broke up" with Anders after a severe case of trust abuse, lies and mass murder. I thought Hawke would end up alone and miserable because of that, but then Varric's epilogue story said that Isabela stayed with Hawke. Apparently sleeping with her once before proceeding with romancing Anders flagged her as his backup plan or something.

If you're trying to pursue a relationship with Fenris, DON'T flirt with Anders. Even if you don't romance someone else doesn't mean you can flirt with them. Imagine what your boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other would say if you flirted with everything on two legs. "But, I'm not romancing them!" is hardly a convincing argument.

Ahh I see. I thought by just flirting it doesn't make much impact (just like DA:O). Guess I need to make it right on my next playthrough. Thanks!

Are you sure? I read somewhere that even if you friendhip'ed him, you can still have a relationship.

No, I think the problem is I have flirted with other peeps so it won't let the Fenris freindship romance progress. I even had to tell Isabella to gtfo when she came over looking for some girl time, lol. When he was rival, he didn't seem to care that I flirted with other peeps cuz I know I flirted with both Merril and Anders before the wall sex scene... didn't flirt with Isabella that time though... maybe that's the problem? I've heard her romance flag has been causing problems...

My Hawke flirted with Isabela, then had sex with her when she came over to Hawke's mansion, and it didn't affect my romance (Anders) at all. Anders came over, Hawke told him that Isabela and he were through, and they went at it.

Sorry it took me a while to finish my game and play the second one. Apparently I had done everything. Not flirting with other characters, take the lone elf girl as my servant (I saw this in DA Wiki) but the option for 'You don't have to leave' did not even show up. I'm starting to suspect this is really a glitch :(

Just want to check, do you have above 50 friendship/rivalry with Fenris? Have you done his Questioning Beliefs quest? After Bitter Pill, when you go to talk to him at your house, he will leave after that (no flirting) but after that you should visit him at his house and talk to him. Get him to at least 50 and above rivalry/friendship which you should be able to get by giving him present and then it will trigger his questioning beliefs quest. Flirt with him then. After this, go back to your own house and if he likes you, he will be there and the romance scene should begin if you choose the right option.

A lot of folks don't seem to realize that sleeping with Isabela isn't actually starting the romance. You don't kick off the romance until *after* you sleep with her.

A quick advice -- if you're getting "questioning beliefs' and he calls you a friend with no flirt option, you've done it wrong ;x

Try and get 'questioning beliefs' before you take him on his personal quest - be it for rivalry or friendship. This means you're already at 50%, and the romance will trigger..

So long as no one has moved into your mansion yet ;p (Aka, Anders, Merrill)

As a side-note, when I fenmanced, I had to avoid flirting isabella like the plague @_@ She ended up leaving because I didn't have her locked by the end of act2 :(

When my Hawke rivalmanced Fenris in my first playthrough I didn't have him at 50% before Bitter Pill, so the romance scene didn't get triggered until later in the act. I actually preferred it this way, though - by tragic coincidence the romance scene was triggered immediately before Gamlen came to see Hawke for All That Remains. So my poor Hawke had Fenris walk out on him, and then found out that his mother had been kidnapped by a serial killer.

This may seem like a stupid question, but how do you know if you're at least 50%. I look at the bar for Fenris and it appears that I'm really close to 50% rival. Is there a toggle somewhere to show percentage?

I would have liked a percentage but as far as I know there isn't one.  You can check whether you've reached 50% by looking at his abilities.  If he's reached that point he will either have a friendship or rivalry ability on his Tevinter Fugitive tree.
