I was doing this Fenris recruitment quest and ran into a dead end type bug. There's a mob that drops the key in the mansion, and if you have death syphon on it will suck up the corpse before you loot the quest item, I confirmed this twice, finally figured out what was going on reloaded an old save and disabled that spell and the monster dropped the key like normal. -Thanks
