So, I have a 30gb solid state drive for my OS (Windows 7, 64 bit), and there isn't much room left over after that's installed. (Yeah, I know. Shoulda gone bigger, but I thought that'd be plenty. Not so.)  Not a good thing, when every game for PC made nowadays insists on putting all your save games under the Documents Library on that same drive.

Can anyone tell me how I can point DA2 to look for my save games somewhere else? I'd love to put the save games somewhere within the actual DA2 directory since that's why I put it there, or even mimic the file structure of the Documents Library, just on a different (larger) drive.

I'd love to know if there's a way to do this in Winows so that it would affect all games at once (like mentioned in this thread, though it only seems to work for XP), but just affecting DA2 would be enough for me at the moment.

TL;DR: How to change save directory for DA2 on Windows 7.

Thanks!

I believe Windows itself has a method of moving a Documents folder to another drive. As long as you do it properly Windows will know where it is and will still work correctly with it. As will any program that properly asks Windows for its location.

If you'd rather not move your entire Documents folder, move your DA2 save folder to where you want it on the other drive, then make a junction or symlink to point from its original location to the new one.
