SO. I've decided I want to take on the daunting task of cosplaying everyone's favorite possessed mage, but I'm thinking the outfit is going to take more skill than I've got. Anybody up for a commission? :| I have money, just not time.
TOTALLY RAN OFF INTO THE FREE MARCHIN' SUNSET WITH HIM, HAHAHA.

*eta* not looking for work, helping a friend who is a cosplaying nut pattern cut her own costume for London EXPO once she stalls her ADD and decides what DA character she wants to be.

@ everybody else: thank you :> I need someone who has actual talent to make it for me, harr. The easiest part will just be the hair dye, psh.
Clearly I need a plush Ser Pounce-A-Lot to go with me.

I'm adding new pics just about every day as I work on. I'm hoping to have it done before Acen in the middle of May.
I'm also planning on trying to make Hawke's fancy leather belt, but that's another story...
Thoughts are welcome.

I'm actually doing an Anders cosplay myself. It's my first attempt at a cosplay. I'm smack in the middle of putting it together at the moment. You can check out my progress here: http://vlargocity.net/visuals/?p=165

I'm sorry, but your dad completely cracked me up. Never seen a chap so happy to be sawing
Anyway, awesome start! Well done! I never really considered how much time and effort goes into cosplay.

Seriously. When my husband said that he was going to cosplay Anders I shrieked with fangirlish glee.

Wow, this looks great so far! I'm really excited to see how it turns out! My husband and best friend I decided to cosplay DA characters (Anders, Leliana, and Isabela, respectively), and Anders' was the costume I thought would be the most difficult, so it's nice to see someone attempting it.

As I've been working on them and the hours add up, I've started to understand why people charge so much for costuming...I kept thinking "I'd charge someone four years salary for this..." It's definitely become a labor of love.
