Care to give literally any further explanation to why ME can't be an FPS?

If game is FPS, I don't buy it. It doesn't matter if it would be worlds best game.
I have motion sickness illness and first person perspective cause problems. Also role-playing isn't just about player playing, it's about player playing role of character, what means there is need of character. If you can't see your own character it lowers the role-playing and makes it more about player.
If you see through the eyes of your character on your own body, that would more help roleplaying.
ME can be FPS, but it doesn't make it better. It's same saying ME could be like iso-metric view point too. It could, but ME serie is more like cinematic action "movie" like. It's about showing situation from different perspective and camera angles. If you look all three options.
- Iso-metric view
- 3rd person view
- 1st person view
You can easyly see how the 3rd person view is most flexiable for cinematic games, where is many camera angles. 1st person view is basicly character eyes and it's allways same, but that's not how cinematiic works even in movies. Nor is iso-metric view any better because it would be so big change between cinematic camera angles and then back to iso-metric view.
Only 3rd person view point can give the game the smooth camera view possibilities like in movies. Have you seen movie from main characters eyes only? I think movie DOOM had little bit that in the end, it did not make it look good. I'm sure you get my point. 3rd person perpective just fits best and give bet possible smooth story telling in cinematic ways, like what ME serie is all about.
As for role-playing from first person perpective, it could be fine. How ever, most the time I feel like i'm looking from narrow window of from trough camera than actually seeing it from characters eyes. It just doens't feel right, the perpective is just wrong some how.
