Act II: Act End Fight/Choice *Spoilers*

I never keep a large supply of potions on me, I rarely need them before. I always had more than enough, but never a buttload, so I'm kind of under-supplied when the Arishok most likely has infinite potions himself (because we all know a cheating AI means difficult!). Without too many spoilers, what are some of the outcomes of the choices? Is there anyway to not lose Isabela that does not involve a one-on-one fight against possibly the cheapest boss so far?
I... dislike losing companions, even if they totally deserve it.

Try to stay behind him on and on his sides if you can. Personally, I kept him near one of the pillars. That way I could line of sight when I needed to.

If nothing else, I would go back a save and buy more supplies.

I didn't have to worry because Aura kept my mage at full health the whole fight, but his attacks do knockdown a lot and I don't react fast enough sometimes. So kiting/hitting from behind was my approach.

Isabela ran off with the book anyway, whoops.

I dont use the mabari as its a DUEL and I feel that is cheating even if he is a heathen ox head demon. FILTHY QUNARI!Silvon wrote...
I beat him using a rogue archer with the decoy ability from shadow and the mabari. He seems to get confused after you use decoy and just stand around for a while.

Hard Multiclassing on Steroids? I hope he likes the smell of wet dogs biting his knees.

Loved the fight in comparison to say... Loghain in Origins.
Loghain was a joke duel compared to this one lol. Arishok could beat Loghain blind.

I'm not sure what I did that allowed me to do this, but I had an option to refuse the duel, and I ended up fighting him and all of the Qunari in the room with my party of four plus Isabela as a non-controllable character; it ended being one of the easiest fights in game.
I... am totally going for that as a rogue. O_O
Anyway, as a warrior, weilding a single weapon, I found myself incredibly frustrated by the lack of damage that I could inflict on him. I'd whack him and his health bar would barely move.
I ended up having to dodge a lot, be thankful I could stun him, and wish that I could use my reaver's ability to leech his life more often. At least between potions and leeching his life I was pretty much set.
But yeah, my inital impression was that that battle was going to suck as a rogue.
