I posted this in technical suprort, but I think here may be appropriate since the mods are on the social site.
I was wondering how I use mods that do not use the updater
tool? I'm talking about files not in the dazip format. The two I have
are Teeth White and the Dagger hotfix. Detailed instructions would be helpful.
I know there is an addins folder but do I have to make a new fodler in there or soemthing or just put the file directly in there?
Using mods that aren't DAzips

dazips are just repackaged zips (you can open them with 7-Zip, if not WinZip or WinRAR) containing an instruction file for the updater. Opening storage_chest.dazip reveals the folder hierarchy Contents\\addins\\tal_storage_chest, the latter which seems to contain the files for that particular mod. I suspect it works like in NWN2: folder structure is disregarded by the game and encouraged for maintainability (where NWN ignores directories inside the override folder).
[Edit]
That means you don't need to make folders for mods, but should for your own sake, if I'm correct.

I wonder if anyone would be able to help me? So the other mods I used are in the override folder (those that aren't DAzip) and I have the chargenmorph.exe from Pineapple trees mods in with the RENsbeautiful hair chargenmorph.xml.... and it made a chargenmorph.xml.bak? Idk....but....look at my avatar >_________> it shows up like that in game...uhh...help? my character is normal on the regular screen but her avatar and when I go to the items screen, she's half gone and so is every other party member ~_~ I have not come across a forum with a similar problem so was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this.
