Okay. Throughout the game til act 3 I was only half heartedly looking for some of these resources, yet I did find the dreaded ambrosia and other 1/1 resources. So I beat the game and went back to find these resources I missed in a save in act 3. I was able to figure out which resources I needed find in act 3, and which ones I would need to buy from the black emporium. It appears the black emporium only sells you the resources you missed from previous acts. So I bought all of those and found an online guide to help me find the locations of the resources I missed in act 3. When all was said and done I had every resource maxed out and technically I should have received this trophy. I did not. What gives here?

Any help would be appreciated.

This is one of the only trophies I need to Platinum and I am currently almost done a playthrough focused on it.

I'm pretty sure you need to "discover" the ingredients for this trophy. I think the Black Emporium is more for buying them solely for the purpose of creating the various items.

I'm also pretty sure that you only need to discover each of the varieties once for the Supplier Trophy, but it is a good idea to get as many as needed for a particular crafting tree so you can also get the Master Craftsman trophy at the same time.

I've heard people claiming they found every variety, but not EVERY single one in the game and it didn't unlock and I've also heard people say that they HAVE only found 1 of each of the ingredients and it unlocked. I will be able to tell you later on today when I am done getting them all. I have most of them maxed out, there are a few that I didn't get, but none of the ones I missed were the 1/1 ingredients that come in Act 3.

Well, I don't think you need to find only one of every variety of resource, because I definitely did that. I've seen on other forums people that got 7/6 spindleweed (how they did this I have no idea), and completely missed some like the one that drops from the high dragon, and still got the trophy. I'm wondering if making up for the missing resources by buying from the black emporium somehow corrupts your data and makes it harder or impossible to get this trophy on the same playthrough. This is very frustrating because I'm trying to get the platinum too and as far as I can tell this trophy is the hardest one to get, and if it's broke (like blight-queller from dao) I'm just going to wait for a fix before I go on my second or third playthroughs.

I can confirm that some users are able to get the trophy - we're currently investigating why this and a few others are not properly being acquired in some cases.

I'm having this same problem. It's sort of annoying because the trophy says to find all the varieties, which seems to imply that you only need to find at least one of each not every single one.

Didn't unlock for me. Extremely stupid since this is the only trophy I need for Platinum.

Can you also confirm the requirements.  Is what I said correct?  1 of each variety?  I've even gone through and collected some of the ones in ACT III to be able to create top level items for each and it still didn't work.

@Onnotangu do you have black emporium installed? I had at least one of each before I went to the black emporium to get the max.

Did it unlock after you maxed everything in the Emporium.  I was able to max everything except Spindleweed.  I think I'll just start over on a new save.

Not for me. And I had everything maxed after I went there. That's why I was wondering if he had the emporium installed. It might be a possibility that if you have the emporium, it might bug out this achievement to have different requirements.  I'm pretty sure the last spindleweed in act 3 is in daytime lowtown in the foundry district - if that's the one you're looking for.

I found that Spindleweed, it was one of the earlier ones that I missed.

I found a good list on the ps3trophies forum and the guy there said that you have to find them all. The Black Emporium purchases will not count. I'm mostly through Act I right now and have found them all so far. Some of them are hard to find even when you know where to look. It's my last trophy and I love this game anyway, so I don't mind playing through it again to get them all.

Yeah I'm going through again, not gonna buy a thing from the emporium. I was wondering if you can still get this without ambrosia? I am going through more ruthlessthis time and I'm gonna get the worthy rival trophy by offering up Isabela, so I won't be able to do her personal quest in act 3. I was wondering if it's still counted even though it's impossible to get after that point?

You need Ambrosia. It's one of the "1/1" ingredients. And you can still get the Worthy Rival trophy by NOT offering her. The trophy unlocks before that anyway. It unlocked for me after I told the Aroshok that Isabela had the relic. There are 2 key conversation choices before that, that are even more important. Most notably, when you choose to burn the bodies of the delegate or choose to leave them alone and that "he'll know". The Arishok respects honesty.

I'm assuming you already have the "King of the Hill" trophy, which is where you face the Arishok in battle 1-on-1?

Yep got king of the hill, quite the fight as a Mage. Well I guess I am sparing Isabela this playthrough. Thanks for that I was misguided into thinking you have to offer her to gain his respect.

Ash, I can also confirm that you need EVERY crafting item in the game for Supplier. I just got it tonight and have a shiny new platinum trophy as a result. I guess I should have put 2 and 2 together, because when you go to craft an item it says "Varieties Discoved" and then gives you a value out of how many possible and the trophy says to discover every variety. Oh well, a little misunderstanding. I enjoyed a 3rd playthrough the game anyway. Bring on Dragon Age 3, bring on Mass Effect 3 and bring on the forthcoming "Arrival" DLC for Mass Effect 2.

Keep up the good work BioWare, you guys are the kings of gaming. *bows*

Thought I'd contribute on this matter since I had a rather interesting experience with Supplier. I had a save just before the final confrontation missing 1 Elfroot, 1 Silverite, 1 Lyrium and 1 Deep Mushroom. The Deep Mushroom was on the Justice quest, but the other three were from previous acts. I went to the emporium and bought 1 Elfroot, 1 Silverite and 1 Spindleweed, meaning I was still 1 Deep/1Lyrium short but 7/6 on Spindleweed.

When I picked up the Deep Mushroom for Justice, it gave me the trophy (and my lovely plat ^^). This makes me wonder if the number of reagents contributes rather than the specific number of individual reagents for meeting the achievement (since I had 66 reagents in total but one was a 7/6 and another a 5/6). Either way, my sympathies to those who've had problems with it (I thought I'd need another run, and I remember the nightmares of getting traveler done), and hope this helps.

I posted this on another ps3 thread, but I'll post it again here just in case.

Just finished my third run, and this was the one trophy I was missing as well. I was diligent in supply hunting, and I am confident I looked everywhere. Before "The Last Straw" in Act III, I checked and see I am missing 1 glitterdust. I remembered hearing the Black Emporium had some crafting materials so I run there but there is only 1 spindleweed. Even though I had all my required spindleweed, I bought it anyway and ding! trophy.

So yeah, glad I got the trophy when so many others haven't been able to yet, but I totally shouldn't have because I ended the game with a less than full supply. Also I read that Black Emporium supplies don't count towards the trophy, but in my case it definitely did count.

that's just weird, so you didn't even get all the required glitterdust and the trophy popped? god I hope they fix it so you only need 1 of each variety like the trophy description actually implies, then maybe I can load up my finished save and get it.. really don't want to have to play through the whole game again just for this

Yeah, it was totally unexpected which was why I checked the ps3 forums and then I was surprised to see so many people also having trouble with this trophy.  Of course it was odd to meet the trophy requirement buy purchasing an item I already had plenty of, but it was also odd that even after that and the trophy when I checked my supplies it still said I was missing 1 glitterdust (5/6, I believe?).

Maybe purchasing from the Black Emporium is part of the trophy even if it's not the right ingredient?  Idk, but definitely something that should be looked into just in case.

So I did a little investigative research here at the studio to get some info on this trophy. To dispel any speculation you need >=66 Ingredients to get this trophy. As has been stated, the Black Emporium ones count towards this total - my guess is that for some of you, one or more just didn't register properly. My suggestion is to go to Black Emporium, save, and then buy out every ingredient until the trophy fires (if you should have it) and then reload the save.

Hope that helps.
