So I did a little investigative research here at the studio to get some info on this trophy. To dispel any speculation you need >=66 Ingredients to get this trophy. As has been stated, the Black Emporium ones count towards this total - my guess is that for some of you, one or more just didn't register properly. My suggestion is to go to Black Emporium, save, and then buy out every ingredient until the trophy fires (if you should have it) and then reload the save.

Hope that helps.

so do you just need 66 ingredients total and the trophy will pop, it doesn't matter what ingredients they are? that explains why some people got it without having certain ones.

are the trophy requirements going to be changed to match the trophy description (which implies that you only need 1 of each type of ingredient) or is the trophy description going to be changed?

are any bug fixes for this coming at all in the upcoming patch? same thing for the Epic trophy and non-DAO imported games not getting it after 2 playthroughs.

thanks for the update at any rate.

You have to max out all crafting resources including Ambrosia, Dragon's Blood, and Felendaris. If you miss one, trophy won't pop.

Don't know about buying from Black Emporium or just having 66 resources. That'd be a weird issue.

Just got it yesterday after getting all crafting resources from the world. Some people have reporting waiting to get those last 3 until all the others have been collected due to a possible bug (not sure if this is accurate) but worked for me

Well that's all good and well, but what are you supposed to do when all you have left is ambrosia to get and Isabela flaked out on you in act 2? The black emporium DOES NOT carry ambrosia. What gives?

Unfortunately, this didn't help. My crafting windows show that I have every single resource, and the Black Emporium doesn't have any available. 'Supplier' still hasn't popped.

Okay. Throughout the game til act 3 I was only half heartedly looking for some of these resources, yet I did find the dreaded ambrosia and other 1/1 resources. So I beat the game and went back to find these resources I missed in a save in act 3. I was able to figure out which resources I needed find in act 3, and which ones I would need to buy from the black emporium. It appears the black emporium only sells you the resources you missed from previous acts. So I bought all of those and found an online guide to help me find the locations of the resources I missed in act 3. When all was said and done I had every resource maxed out and technically I should have received this trophy. I did not. What gives here?

Any help would be appreciated.

Same happened to me. Bought the items I missed from previous Acts at the Black Emporium. Then when I picked up the last crafting item in the world, no trophy.

A month later and still no patch...

This worked for me except that I went around and looked for a single missing ingredient first, then bought everything The Black Emporium had (taking me to 65 ingredients), and then finally went and picked up one more.

I have the same bug.  I have all supplies (all maxed).  I have tried going to the emporium which funnily enough has 2 x spidleweed to buy even though i have the maximum already.  I have tried buying them it didnt work.

Very annoying as this trophy is one of the last ones stopping me getting the platinum trophy :(

any ETA on a fix for this ?

Believe it or not I actually ended up with 7/6 spindle and 10/9 of one other crafting resource and I still haven't received the trophy. I did however buy from the black emp. I've tried reloading my game about a dozen times in various stages of act 3 and even replayed entirely through act 3 once already. Not really sure what to do... 68/66 =(

I think it's fixed, too, since I got all the ingredients and the Achievement popped up not too long ago with the new patch installed.

I did not get the trophy (PS3), and started an entirely new game after applying the newest patch.

I had 65/66 resources, with the missing resource being Felandaris; when I picked-up Felandaris the trophy didn't unlock. I returned to the mansion to verify my amounts, and I definitely had 66/66 resources. I re-loaded my game before getting the Felandaris (I have a save right inside Pride's End, standing before the Felandaris), grabbed it again, and still no trophy.

I did buy a bunch of resources from The Black Emporium, but it sounds like the "official" BioWare word is that it shouldn't matter, and that purchased resources should count; consensus seems to be that 66/66 resources should unlock the trophy.

Fortunately I have a save at the beginning of Act 3, so maybe I'll try playing that entire act again, getting everything in the world, and buying the remaining resources after.

Still: this is obviously bugged, and should still be fixed properly so that EVERYONE gets the trophy upon acquiring 66/66 crafting resources, regardless of whether they go over that amount, and regardless of whether or not they purchased resources from the Black Emporium.

i got the trophy by collecting every resource. I never once bought from the Black emporium. I got the trophy awhile back, but its still a shame that people are still having these problems. Bioware and Trophies are two words that don't go together.

At least they make great games. :)

Can you get Ambrosia, Dragon's Blood, and Felendaris all from the Black Emporium? (after each respected act?)

Good for you, but the fact is -- from this very thread -- the OFFICIAL word is that crafting resources purchased from the Black Emporium COUNT towards unlocking this trophy/achievement. It's right here:

It is indeed a shame, and they really need to deliver some basic functionality at this point. I started a whole new game after patch 1.02, but nothing unlocked for me when I got to 66/66.

I also don't necessarily agree that "they make great games." It seems like it's been downhill (with the exception of ME2) since NWN. I loved the Baldur's Gate series, Neverwinter Nights, and had some good times in Dragon Age: Origins, but Dragon Age 2 pales in comparison to anything under the Baldur's Gate flag, and doesn't even come close to being as engaging as Dragon Age: Origins; just the multiple occasions of recycled environment maps is totally insulting & lazy, much less the myriad of other great game-play mechanics they axed from DA2. Why can't I switch between a bow and melee with a hot-key anymore? Was there something wrong with that? Why does stealth just expire regardless of character level or environmental factors? Anyway, all that is off-topic, but it seems like "The Warrior Within" syndrome to me; crank-out a flashy, dumbed-down sequel real quick to make a buck and rope-in new fans, but I digress...

The point is: the "Supplier" trophy/achievement is still broken, was not fixed in patch 1.02, and we know this by the guidelines necessary to unlock this trophy/achievement as detailed by BioWare employee Luke Barrett ... IN THIS VERY THREAD.

'Nuff said.

Update:
Today I did EXACTLY what Luke Barrett said: I saved inside the Black Emporium and bought the remaining resources until the trophy unlocks. The only resources missing in that game were the ones available for sale in The Black Emporium, but even after purchasing them all -- and subsequently verifying my purchase at the mansion crafting table, seeing that I had 66/66 resources -- there was no trophy unlock.

I have forwarded that save-game to the studio team.

the game literally has its own attitude. Some people have glitches, some don't.

Corypheus boss fight - he died right when his health hit 0. for some, the fight never ends.

the never ending loading screen at the beginning of the game - some people can't even play the game because of this. it didn't happen to me.

supplier trophy - I got the trophy the real way, by finding everything. For most people, buying from the Black Emporium works. For you, obviously it doesn't.

Nathaniel Import glitch - i did not have Nathaniel in my party at the end of Awakening, yet he still appeared in DA II. For some people, even if they have him in there party at the end of Awakening, they might not have him return in DA II

While I agree that glitches are annoying, the sad thing is lots of the glitches are random. some people get them, others don't.

while DA II is not as good as Origins, it is still rated by players, and critics as an average game.
I personally give DA II about an 8, while I give Origins (and awakening) a 9.5

This made me laugh, as I never thought of it this way, but I still think these are problems which can be fixed. Obviously the code is kind of sloppy; so many things must be unnecessarily interrelated to cause such sporadic issues.

Yeah, but for a company like BioWare to release an "average" game when we know of what they are capable ... it's a sad day. EA kills good RPG franchises; they did it with Ultima, Bard's Tale, and now they are doing it it Dragon Age. You can't rush a good RPG because of corporate cash-mongering, which is what EA does; look at Bethesda & Skyrim: its predecessor was released in 2006, and we're getting the sequel 5 years later, and it's going to be awesome. Any RPG which has a sequel released just over a year from the original (DA:O end of 2009, DA2 start of 2011) deserves a very critical eye; the motive is obviously not to further the story or expand the world in a meaningful way, but to further line the pockets of the publishing company before the "buzz" from the first game wears-off.

(Almost 3 years between Baldur's Gate and it's sequel, and both were fantastic, with the second only improving on the first.)

Anyway ... I'd hate to get this thread closed because it's off-topic, so I'll say this:

The point still remains that the "Supplier" trophy/achievement still does not work as advertised.

EA Tech support has just told me that this issue is a "problem with the Playstation 3 Network," and therefore anyone having this problem needs to call Sony. What a load...

Same for me, all 66, every one covered, NONE purchased from Black Emporium, (and none available after each ACT) still no trophy pop, I guess another starting over for me, argh.

I'm so glad I just stopped by and saw that you wrote this; I was considering going through the game AGAIN, following a check-list, and trying to avoid using the Black Emporium altogether, but if some people are even having problems getting the trophy with that technique ... what's the point?
