Can anyone clue me in as to if something different happens?
I accepted Anders' quest "Justice" where you collect ingredients for his pretend potion, but when he asked for a distraction so he could do something within the Chantry I refused him.
Now I have just reached a point in the game where Anders blows the Chantry up. Is this supposed to happen if you rejected his plan or is it a bug?
I do recall that even after refusing him (which the codex acknowledged), he would still thank me for my help and say he had to speak to me in private, even though we'd already done that.
Any help, guys?
Question about Anders' "Justice" quest. (bug? spoiler naturally)

With Sebastian in my group at the end game, he says that Anders tried to trick him into distracting the chantry lady. So if you refuse too, I imagine he probably ends up convincing somebody else to do it in the end; I don't think his bomb is avoidable.

Hmm. I suppose he could have got someone else to do it, true. I wasn't sure if the bomb is avoidable or not, which is what I'm interested in knowing.

The blowing up of the chantry is a catalyst that spurs on the purge of mages by Meredith, despite anybody arguing against it. It has to happen to make the chantry/templars go down the intended path of the writers.
. So as far as I know it has to happen if you help or not. Anders had been planning it for long and I think chantry agents know about it because the lovely ole chantry lady is asked and warned to pack up the artifacts and head for safety.

So much for compromise...not that the blaze of glory isn't impressive and all.
